I''m in the middle of the search for the perfect Asscher and have found this site to be an immeasurable help to me. I don''t know where I would be without it. That said, I''d appreciate if I could get some feedback on the two stones I have data on, and a third when it arrives.

The first is a 2.22 H VS1

Sarin: Also, I apologize for the image sizes but I''ve had to wipe my hardrive clean as I''m trading my computer in and therefore missing quite a few programs. I''d like to resize the actual photos so if anyone is willing to help I''d be glad to email the pics to them.

If there is anyone out there willing to resize the 40x images of the diamonds, please email help.

If you click the message admin button above and send the admin a request for help he will resize and post them for you.
Otherwise this free online resize tool might help:

Maybe its just me, but I see a little more warmth in the 1st picture, and they are both "H"...interesting...

Side by side. I''d be grateful for some feedback.

It''s hard to tell about diamonds from the pictures but that 2.43 sure looks nice.

The 2.22 is the brighter stone but the cutter messed up the bottom pavilion step angles.
That harms the life the stone displays.
So by default between those 2 the 2.43 wins.

When is the data going too be in on the third?

I was told 24 hours about 23 hours ago so any time now. I''ll post them as soon as I have them.

They both look very lovely to me, but I prefer the larger one so far. My asscher eye is not nearly as trained as Storm''s so I''ll defer to his decision.

I''m assuming that this is an engagement ring in the making and I''m sure your fiancee-to-be will be thrilled. Not many of us (including me) can afford that size in an asscher. I don''t mean to put the cart before the horse, but have you considered setting possibilities???

Platinum with either a somewhat complex(at least seems that way to me) side stone arrangement that has a trapezoid, two smaller bullets off the trapezoid(based off of a family ring), and pave surrounding it or a channel set. She doesn''t like split claw prongs so trying to decide on a single-prong look that shows off the corners well. So far the two options we''ve seen are both on rings from Nelson Rarities, the 2.37ca and the vintage Cartier 5+.
