Hey Strmrdr

For us non expert Asscher lovers. Can you tell me what makes this a great image. I''m not clear on exactly what I''d be looking for in these images. Sorry if that''s slightly off topic.

I have a client with a dead server I''m working on right now but will try and get back later and do a point by point on the image.

Lots of blue=decent stone. That''s about the extent of my limited knowledge

I''m assuming there''s something funky about the lighting on this one, possibly just too high an intensity, but the colors are seriously different from what I''m used to seeing. The patterns, however, look good to me.

can we see a normal phot please - there is a lot of blue and a smal leakage zone just near it in the center. The stone might be a bit dead in the center zone in real life.

I didn''t want to show the link to the stone, but here goes:

i''m having a really hard time deciding on the right asscher.

storm has shown me a few different gog stones, and they all seems pretty nice -- but i''m also very new at this. needless to say, making a life decision off of a few pictures and scans is difficult for me. i realize i would have a return policy, but i would like to avoid that altogether.

thanks for any advice.

Im on a 10 min break with 4 more hours too go.
Check the DiamXray which is an actual image rather than a generated one.
The small amount of obstruction and the sliver of partial leakage in the center red is fine it will blend.
The leakage towards the center is in the windmills and is no problem.
The slight leaakage around the red band just under the table is normal too.
Its a nice contrasty drop style asscher.
I like it :}

I would ask an appraiser to check to see if the center is bright enough

If you''re unsure call GOG and ask. I have read several times that their asscher expert is amazing and he hand picks each stone and will tell you exactly what he thinks of each stone. I would call him and see what he says about the center brightness. If he says it''s a nice stone I''d trust him. many on PS have and have been very happy.
