My husband and I have been apartment hunting for some time now. Our lease at our current beach house is nearly over as of June and while we love it, we''re definitely wanting more space for less money.

Well, today on a whim I walked into an apartment with a "For Rent" sign in the window. The lady who owns it was there to show me around. I walked in and it was like BAM! This is the dream house.

It''s gorgeous. Huge, hardwood floors, all re-done, 1950''s charm, old fashioned but modern. Insanely big master bedroom, walk in closets, huge kitchen, and the living room is round with bay windows in every wall. Fireplace, big backyard... in our price range!

I am going to put in an application tonight... so please! Send our family apartment dust! I really want to make this our home!

Sending apartment dust your way!

DUST....DUST....

Good luck! I have my fingers crossed you get it!

Hope you get it!

Oooooh, sounds fabulous. I hope you get it!!

On a side note, I LOVE your new avatar pic. That ring is to die for! The pink is just perfect.

May the real estate fairy hold you in the palm of her hand and bring you your heart''s desire.

Thanks everyone! Really keeping my fingers crossed here. This place has really good energy. It was built in the late 1800''s and still has the original fireplace and bathroom (the tub even has claws

) and the original "servant''s quarters" on the back of the house. There are still old fashioned buzzers (but they don''t go anywhere anymore) that were used to ring the maids, and all the original crown molding is intact. The kitchen is totally retro and fantastic. It''s a very 1950''s kitchen, so to me the combination of the 2 eras is really something cool.

I know I''m getting my hopes way too high, but places like this don''t come along often...

It sounds amazing! Good luck, and lots of *DUST*

congratulations! you should post some photos once you move in.. we all want to see the apartment you''re so in love with :)

It sounds like an amazing home. I am pleased you got it. Less than a month to move in, yeah!

What? Claw "PRONGS" on your tub? You are a PSer all the way! It is just meant to be! Cool!

See all that sand at the beach? Well, that is nothing compared to the amount of PS dust on it's way. You already ordered it...so you gotta take it all! Make room!

(you see, I had to edit my post...I missed that you got it! WOO HOO! HAPPY DANCE! But truck is still coming.)

This is *part* of the living room, I couldn''t fit the whole thing on the phone''s camera.

Cute 1950''s kitchen. I finally have room to cook!

I love the bathroom. Still has the original 1860''s tile. It''s a little small, but I plan on taking it over anyway

It''s so funny you say that, my husband was expressing concerns about that this morning! She had on the little footie pjs last night and woah was she flying on those floors. Hopefully since it''s a summer move in she can cruise around without socks for a few months. We''re definitely going to have to put some mats down in the bathroom though, every inch of it is tile.

Fortunately they don''t have too far to fall since they''re still shorties. No socks will definitely help with traction (or footed pj''s with treads) but definitely use cushy mats in the banyo.
This is a pic of my niece and the non-padded environment she inhabits. That coffee table has been the source of many a forehead bruise.

My SIL likes to say "you can''t keep them in a bubble." True. I favor straightjackets myself.
