Hi all
I have been stalking PS and other websites for a while on the hunt for a good diamond. I wanted to buy locally in Atlanta here but really like BGD's well cut diamonds. Solomon Brothers was initially my first choice but ordered a BGD Diamond anyway. When searching for diamonds online at Solomob Brothers I didn't see a diamond I liked for the price I liked. Well, after I order the BGD one, SB posts this one diamond I am interested in. There is a ton of red on the AGS ASET scope but the AGS cut is only graded Excellent 1, not ideal. Maybe this is very obvious as to why but I really don't get it. Can anyone explain?

Rest assured that you made the right choice! I do not like the SB diamond at all! It has a huge table at 61 and a really low crown angle! It gets excellent instead of ideal because light performance is not ideal. I am so glad you bought the BG one instead of the other way around! We'd be telling you to return it!

Thank you very much. I am glad you replied, I have seen you post before and feel like you know plenty! I just see all that red and my heart flutters thinking it would be great. I was holding my breath waiting for someone reputable to reply and feel much better now.

Thanks! I am glad I could help! I would choose the BG stone in a heartbeat over the other one! Flatter crowns with large tables look very unattractive from the profile view, too, in my opinion. (Did you verify with BG that your stone is eyeclean? It does have an inclusion right under the table.)

It says eye clean on the discription (or did anyway) and I already have a couple of BGD backups in my wish list if it is not. Thank you for noting that for me. I am extremely excited and can't stop looking at that diamond and others!!!
