As your hair changed color, did your jewelry?

Those of you with silver locks, did you jewelry change to match?

I already wear plat and white gold, so I''m finding that it all looks nice with my slowly greying head (which I really do not want to color). Actually, I have mostly dark brown hair, but the greys are definitely starting to show!

I had a boss a few years ago that gave away all of her yellow gold when she decided to stop coloring her hair. (I kinda thought that was a little drastic..but hey, I guess I can also appreciate knowing what you like when you like it.)

Do you think silver hair looks better with silver color jewelry?

I don''t know the answer but I do think sliver hair is beautiful!!! Your hair sounds gorgeous!!

My best friend has let her hair go totally silver and it is very very pretty. She has olive skin too, which just enhances the whole look. She does silver/white gold now (from yellow gold) and I think it suits her.

Agreed! There was a GORGEOUS woman in my old building that had the most beautiful silver hair. It was hard to imagine her looking better pre-greying!

In my personal experience, the color of one's skin has more of an impact on what metal color suits them. My skin looks better with white metals, so that's what I have mostly... but my hair looks better with yellow and rose golds, so I have a few necklaces and earrings in those colors (since they're closer to my hair than my fingers).

ETA: I tend to think that white metals suit more people than yellow gold tends to, but that may be because all of my adult life so far has been during the white metal fashion phase.

You really hit the nail on the head!!!! I can''t tell you how many times I''ve tried to convey this very thing to my husband....my hair looks better with 18k gold (red highlights) but skin with white gold. Go figure.

maybe it''s something to do with redheads? I have strawberry-blonde hair which looks great with gold, but pinkish-pale skin that looks best with white metal. Good thing I don''t mind mixing metals!
