Posted this last weekend ... the pics are in! Please let me know what you think!!! Appreciate your help!

also, Jennifer at James Allen says it faces up completely white (its a G) and is beautiful. Looks like the Picture may be dusty (???) as its an IF. She says it is difficult to see the surface graining at 30x.

Hi All,

I''ve been reading this forum for a couple of weeks as I''ve started shopping for an engagment ring! I know I want an asscher cut and have ... after much searching ... purchased the following from JA in order to evaluate it in person (going to get any stone I buy mounted by I Gorman in DC).

kicken

The IS is a little bothersome.
Lack of red in the very center but the picture shows its returning light so its fine.
Its one of the reasons Im carefull with the IS on asschers.

edit: didnt like my first wording, IS images of asschers are useful but have to be carefully applied and compared to the other images.

Yay, Storm says it''s kicken. That''s a very good sign!!!

Thanks all!!!

I live in DC so (after reading about every post on PS) have made an appointment with Quest for this Saturday to see what magic they can perform!

YUM!!!! I want it!

(My sister''s stone, an RB, is a G, IF and it''s a heck of a combo!!)

Can''t wait for more pics and progress on the Quest setting!

well, I just got home from an enlightening lecture on family law (bar is in one month) and opened the box from JA.
its beautiful! of course i wish it was biger... but it sparkles better than any Asscher i''ve seen in person (a limited number). Looks much better than the stone i saw for over a grand more!

I''m trying to get ahold of a digital camera --- will post pictures as soon as i can!

any ideas about the setting?
Can''t wait to see what you decide!
Asschers are so, so pretty.
And if storm likes it, well, ya done good!

Yay, I''m so glad you love it, and can''t wait to see pics. I had Quest make me a ring for my asscher and they did a great job. I can''t wait to see which design you pick etc....
