So DH and I got into an argument and I am SO FUMING right now :angryfire: !! I would TOTALLY just head out the door, grab his credit card on the way out, and do some damage to let off some steam and get me some well deserve bling for all the crazy crap that I have been dealing with lately. but I don't have any decent store nearby!! Argh!! :nono: Even the Tiffany's would take an hour to get to and I've got little babies napping right now! ARGH! Boy am I fuming or what?! Or.....intermet shop!! haha!! Let me peruse and see what I (or he) is going to buy me.... :twisted:

When I'm cross with DH, I tend to research jewelry or holidays. Mentally spending his money is fun, but the reality is not - 50% of it is mine anyway! :lol:

I hope your DH cleans his act up and sucks up appropriately. :))

I assume you mean the sorts of holidays that involve spas, sangria, and no DH in sight :bigsmile:

I tend to drown my sorrows in Starbucks white mochas. (Relatively!) inexpensive and terrible for me so... shopping for jewellery does seem like a better way to make a point ::)

Enerchi: I am looking at stackers for real!!! I switched my ering for some stacking rings from my jewelry box... feel somewhat better with a little change for the time being... thinking maybe I should get another to add pizazz to my stacks! :twisted:

What are your other stackers like? Have you checked in to IDJ? they have some very nice ones. BevK also makes a few very popular styles too. ah... isn't the "hunt" exciting? Sometimes just that part can be enough to satisfy the angry shopping bug!
 
oh I just checked out IDJ right before I saw your post... soooo many choices I can't decide! I love Bev K.... I a, gonna look at some of them now... yeah... the search in itself is exciting...

Still angry enough that DH still requires retail punishment???

Enjoy the hunt - it is so fun to fantasize about all the options out there! I am loving all of those BGD stackers I sent - I'm getting tempted to get something in RG but I have ZERO money at the moment. Must pay for our two trips coming up... but that does NOT stop my mind from spinning! So, I'm happy to be 'spinning' right along with you! :D
 
Enerchi, talk about trips! Just went on one in January and have another comin up in June.... so yeah...there are things holding me back! blah! Just got our property tax bill too!! ;( plus just got a speeding ticket...things are not going my way lately!! I have already decided that I am sending my oval plus setting down to Pete at Quest for a halo and. and spending my first paycheck on it one I go back to work after my mat leave ends...but as for now... still searching for the ideal item to get for situation.... it has gotta be a good price but I don't wanna "settle" either! Yes, having fun searching!! You have some good estate or antique jewelry sites that you frequent?

Did you get it??? Did you buy Circe's band??? The GORGEOUS ruby one??? ooooh - say YES!!
 
Sadly, Circe's gorgeous ruby band was a smidge too small for me to use as a stacker... I even debated getting it anyway because I wanted it sooooo much! Rubies are amazing! I always wanted some colored stones!

Anyways... after some searching, I decided to bid on this anniversary band on eBay that was priced low.... I threw in a bid before bedtime and thought hey, if I get it, it was meant to be! I thought nothing of it... bid only a few bucks higher than the current bid... and went to bed. I found out the next day that I won the auction!!! A 14k WG round/baguettes diamond anniversary band about .40-.50 tcw for A STEAL! It was pre-owned and I don't care. I have reread the listing at least a dozen times to find a flaw... the price of 138$ seemed too good to be true. Because of my doubts, I am gonna bring it to a jeweler to confirm that they are diamonds, get it polished and maybe add milgraining to add character? gonna start a new thread on SMTB about what you all think! haha! Take that DH! (even though I barely made a dent $-wise,)
