Just a few hours ago a friend of ours brother in law passed from covid, the family had to make the agonizing decision to withdraw life support.

So sorry.

I voted NO because 2020 and 2021 were the best time when I had the best excuse to stay away from those super non-essential family gatherings with my judgmental relatives. I am anti social that way.

I told my in-laws that because of COVID, we should not be hosting parties like we used to. The reality is my family (mainly me) is tired of hosting ALL the time, and there were always complains and zero contribution from their side. And my relatives are judgmental about everything, about my house, the way my kids act, how much my ring cost, why I still want to work when the kids are still so young, etc....

So no I tell everyone I am very very worry about COVID and the variants, so no need to come visit. I am a terrible person.

I am most definitely not ok with getting a disease that could kill me, which is why I've had the vax and booster.

I'm sorry to hear this. I fear that this kind of scenario will continue for a long time because so many people in our country are making the selfish decision not to get vaccinated and not to mask up. My son is doing his rotations in the hospital and said he has seen this happen to people who are unvaccinated. They just don't get it until it happens to them.

Nope I'm not. What a question....

Just politely told my in laws that Christmas is cancelled. fil is a 78 y/o diabetic.

Yesterday night I learned that my conspiracy theorist BIL isn't vaccinated. He's hanging out at FIL and MIL s house all.the .time and brings their 6 y/o unvaccinated son over for long stretches of babysitting three times a week.

I have a lot of children, two of them too young to be vaccinated/ not able to be vaccinated for underlying conditions per her three doctors. So heck , no, I'm not going to a 25 person gathering for Christmas. We're 8 at home, that's party already.

BUT I have to say, if the in laws do in fact catch it (they are boostered, thankfully) it'll be hard for me to be compassionate...

Please stay safe everyone.

I've had Covid and there's nothing normal about it. Nothing at all. I would not want it again thats for damn sure.
