Or something else entirely?

FI and I are debating. I am firmly in the Windows camp. He wants a laptop and is looking at Macbooks.

Mac all the way!

I am pc but I want to convert so bad - I wanted to before I got this laptop but dh convinced me not to (he is FIRMLY pc) but my next laptop WILL be a mac, I am convinced. If I had to only have one in the house it would be tougher, but knowing that I''ll have a pc for some things makes the choice to convert very easy as almost everything would be better with mac and I know that.

Mac, all the way. PC at work, but at home mac.

PC all the way. DH likes MACs. I think I want a new notebook because I hear such good things about Windows 7.

Mac through and through! I have a Mac at work, too. It has Boot Camp on it so I can run Windows as well as Mac OS. I only use the Windows side for a few programs my university doesn't have for Macs. The Windows side is laughably slow compared to the Mac side!

ETA I'm typing this on my 6 year old Mac Powerbook G4 that was a refreshed store display computer. Macs last SO MUCH longer than PCs-your husband should definitely get a Macbook!

Used to be PC, but then I needed a laptop and DH convinced me to get a Mac. I LOVE it!!!!! Would only get another Mac if I needed another laptop. I thought I would have a really hard time adjusting (I don''t like learning new technological things

) but it took about a week and I fell in love with it!

DH is so happy he was finally right about something

Good point, kenny-apologies to the mods if I broke any rules!

We''re a Mac family.

I love my iPhone and my iPod almost as much as a person can love things, but, I will never be able to have a Mac computer. DH has very strong beliefs about how Apple-deals with non-Apple software and it would break his poor heart if I got one. I just couldn''t do that to them. Plus our IT staff is far better with PCs. But, I do covet them--especially when a colleague gets one out for a presentation that I have to follow.

I just converted to Mac at home because my home PC became ill last week (it still kinda works - and I still do some things on it).

I''m still learning the mac. There are advantages - and at this point some disadvantages (which may have solutions I have not yet implemented or learned about).

Of course, at work its mainly PC; and some proprietary stuff on one dedicated computer for some of my work.

mac all the way!

Mac, baby! I came over from the dark side about 3 and a half years ago and never looked back.

Mac all the way!

ditto!

Wow, lots of Macs! Ditto on the Mac family!

Both, I just got a new macbook two months ago and I love it, but at the same time I also bought a new netbook (for my kids) and I love that too. So, I am happy with either.

I went Mac last year. There have been some things that have been confusing for me b/c my brain was wired PC but once I let go of that it became so much easier. I love my Mac and will never go back!

A Mac.

Love it. The only thing that has become more difficult since changing from a PC to a Mac is posting on PS. But hopefully the mac friendly format will be coming out soon.

PC at work, just converted to Mac at home...still figuring out Mac excel...it''s a totally different beast--other than that I LOVE it!

Both! I have an iMac for my art and love it. I just got a Toshiba laptop for school which I really like as well. I decided that I didn''t really need two Macs.

Mac for me, PC for hubby :)

We have two macs and one PC in the house. (also two iPhones and two iPods)
Fi doesn't even use his PC anymore.

So.. It's safe to say ... MACS!

I''m going to sound SO dumb, but..what''s the difference b/t the two? My husband thinks I''m some amazing techno whiz b/c I showed him how to put pictures on a forum he visits. I smile and say "Well, honey, I DID take a couple computer classes" and he''s all wide eyed like wow my wife is brilliant. But, I''ve seen the commercials, and I know I''m the PC-chubby guy in a suit who can''t really do anything, and the young hip guy is the Mac who is apparently amazing..but I don''t understand it. I just thought a computer was a computer!

Hmmm My Macs have never gotten a virus.. that''s a start there :)

I would go into an Apple store if you can and play around with one. They can be hard to get used to at first but then you''ll forget the hot keys and short cuts from the PC days and wonder what you did without your precious Mac.

No really. it''s true...

Mac. Like a marriage, till death do us part!

PC. I will never convert to a mac. Ever. TGuy works in IT so it''s not going to happen.

My cousin just converted to a mac and got the most horrible customer service EVER when they came out with the updated one 2 days later. It wasn''t even just bad service...it was deceitful, downright lying.

There was an article recently - might have been newsweek or something on how apple seems to do so well even when don''t treat their customers well at all and have a terrible air of arrogance about them. It''s like a cult...people are rabid about their macs (and I''m sure it''s a good product). I worked in the education segment, so I know...teachers and their macs, OMG....

Yay I am glad I am not alone in this...
