I was originally looking for a RA but the price is just so much more! To all the asscher experts, how does this generic one compare? I think there is also an ASET pic if that helps. Thanks so much!

Yes, it would!

Looks pretty to me, but I''m no expert.

Yes, please post the ASET. It will help the true expert(s) assess it.

I think it looks beautiful. However, the table is big. Storm will, hopefully, be able to tell you what that does more than I can. The ASET can help with this.

Also, I like the Square Emeralds better than the Royal Asschers. The RAs are breathtaking, for sure, but I prefer the fewer facets. Going generic isn't always a bad thing.

The table is larger than I prefer.
Under 65% is my preferred range.

It does look nice. I don''t think the large table will affect the overall optics that much, although the ASET will tell you that. Personally, I prefer the smaller table because IMO it has a better balance between the table windmills (which are very prominent here) and the rest of the crown patterns (particularly the trapezoids N/S/E/W), which get pretty crowded with a large table. But I think that''s very much a matter of taste.

Table size has a huge effect on the optics of asschers.
Unfortunately its a complicated subject.
It is taking me 2 articles to cover it.
The first should be posted soon and the other is 2 weeks away.

Thanks for the input. I''ve included the ASET here. Any other thoughts?

ASET looks ok, bit of green it isn''t too bad for a larger tabled asscher.

strmrdr...you say that the table size has a big impact to the optics. 1)can you tell by the aset and specs how this one would look. 2)can you explain in simple terms why? 3)should i keep looking?

thanks!!!

Personally I would have Jon pull some more in.

Like I said it took 2 articles to explain it in a simple manner and one isn''t 100% done yet and the other isn''t up yet.
So I will try and describe the why and not the how.
Larger tables cut down on the amount of smaller and med. flashes.
That is good in low light as there are more large flashes but not optimal for brighter lighting.
Also there is less flash with small movements so the diamond is less lively looking and can look glassy.
While it is doubtful that one is to a large extent glassy the effect is still present.

That is the way over simplified version.

thank you! i really appreciate your fast responses. :)

welcome
cant sleep tonight so im bored.
