I see alot of posts regarding angle measurements. This is new information to me. Is it something that I should be looking at with a modified brilliant cut?

Also is a cut cornered square, modified brilliant a radiant or a princess? The cert says radiant, which is what i have a preference for.

Thanks!!!!!

the angles won''t tell you how beautiful the stone is to your eyes. angles are helpful in traditional rounds as their configuration is very straightforward but it just gets complicated with fancy shapes. if you can''t see this stone in person before purchasing, try to get pictures of it at least and make sure there is a good return policy.
a cut cornered square can be a radiant (as well as a few other cuts) but it is not a princess.

Does the diagram look like the diagram on this stone? http://www.goodoldgold.com/items/2045/ags.jpg (radiant)

Or this one? http://www.goodoldgold.com/items/1560/ags.jpg (princess)

it's probably a radiant.

There are angle concerns in every shape. The laws of light and optics must be obeyed! There are too many variables for the average consumer to understand in most fancy shapes, so don't worry about them as long you don't exceed bad proportions and you think it's beautiful. (Or get an Ideal Scope)

Thanks for the response!!

I have seen the ring in person and it has exc brilliance. G and vs2 (GIA) the shape looks like the first link you sent me. Thank you so much. It helps to have the expert opinions!!!!!!
