Are the pave diamonds around a halo normally the same size and shape as the actual band of the ring? To me they look the same but I am not sure. So in these two pictures, the halo looks like the band. is this the norm?
In general every designer is different and can use stones that are the same or different sizes. In the ring pictures posted they look to be the same size. Your best bet is to ask whatever vender that you use. They should be able to tell you.
Your top photo looks like "The One" by Harry Winston. I can tell you from educating myself on the setting and then visiting HW in Chicago, that for their setting, they use the same size diamond in the pave in the halo as in the shank.
I don't recognize the second photo, so I can't comment on whether the diamonds are the same size in the halo as they are around the shank.
We are having a micropave ring designed by Oscar Heyman right now and they are using the same size diamond in the pave in the halo as around the shank.
Maybe that helps?!?!
