I noticed today when I got back online that a lot of diamonds I had my eye on at WF were no longer in their inventory (ACA''s H or better and VS2 or better between 0.75 and 1.0 cts). I''m guessing jewelers probably do a lot of business at Christmas and this is a natural result.

I am guessing inventories should be high again before Valentine''s Day....

Am I correct here or am I making all of this up???

I wouldn''t have a CLUE - but I would suspect you are correct. Xmas is the busiest time of year for most businesses, and so that would naturally deplete inventory.

Well if the diamonds are gone I think it stands to reason around Christmas and New Years there are alot of engagements, I think that holiday is 2nd to V-Day in terms of number of engagements re: stats I have seen in papers etc.

So I''m sure that there will be replenishment of inventory within the next few weeks in anticipating for V-Day as well as just getting the stock levels back up if they have fallen...

But if you call WF and tell them what you are looking for...they can tell you when Brian''s next scheduled trip to Belgium is and when the next stock is coming in. Good luck!!

I''ve found that typically there are a lot of diamond sales before Christmas and Valentine''s day...the stock tends to fly out the window and it''s harder to find what you want unless you stalk stones and then pounce!

Good advice FireGoddess, I couldn''t agree more. Stalking and pouncing is the way!
