In our present-day, archeologists made another newest discovery of the Holy Bible, particularly the Dead Sea Scrolls fragments.

This is what I thought kenny's posting might be about. I have been reading about Israel's announcement about the new find, the first one in over 60 years, and am being reminded of facts that I had forgotten as well as being updated. All the writing on the scrolls is in Greek and it appears that Greek was the lingua franca at the time when not all Jews under Roman occupation spoke Latin. I was fascinated by so many aspects of the articles I read about the dig.

I remember when Dad got us our first vcr and it was an extra $200 (a huge amount of money in the mid early 80s) to get a cordless remote so we got one with a cord
Wow ! Our 2nd one was so flash when it came with no remote cord !

If a truck spilt any we had every pigeon from every park in the city in for a free lunch

in the winter one of my workmates would sneak handfulls of seed and throw it out for them

I remember telling my kids that I never had a tv remote growing up. They then asked me how I changed the channel. They seemed shocked when I said that I had to actually get off the couch and walk across the room and change it!
