I think that I should have a grading report done on my two stones prior to having them reset. Is this correct? I am beginning the process of having a custom setting made from Whiteflash. My sales rep is Chris. The setting will be a 3 stone halo setting in 14K White Gold. My stones are one carat and two one third carats.

How do I go about doing this? Any suggestions are welcome, I really want to go about this in the best way so that I will have no regrets and my diamonds are taken care of.

Thanks so much.

You can easily arange with any number of us "appraisers" to do the work and return the stones for setting back to the vendor. After the piece is finished, it would be best for the appraiser to review the entire product for workmanship and correct stones, but I have little doubt about the integrity of the vendors who are active here. It is a very easy process.

Dave is correct.

The appraisal process pattern that I''ve seen over the past several years regarding internet
diamond purchases includes:
Verification and examination session with the client and Q & A. (Appointment One)

Quality inspection of the diamond ring, verification of the diamond, production of insurance
documents, supporting lab report documents and 4-6 digital photos, PDF scans, etc. (Appointment Two)

Present the beautiful new diamond ring to your new fiancee! (Appointment Three---On your own time)

Some folks skip Appointment One but hardly ever skip Appointment Three
