Anyone made $$ writing for greeting card companies?

This seems like an easy way to make extra money that requires basically no investment except for stamps to mail my ideas. My DH is a very good artist and may be able to provide some artwork, too. I've done just a little research and it seems some companies may pay for outside ideas while others only use their internal employee talent unless there is a specific contest.

Just curious...anyone done this? If so, may I ask what companies you used? I don't expect to quit my day job but I thought it may be fun to give it a try....and extra money never hurts!
