So she has been wearing her ring since Febuary and the platinum band is staring to show a bit of wear. Also there is a small ding in it. I would like advice on where to take it to have the ding rolled out of it and either polished or have the rodihum(sp?) replated.

Also how long should this take and what should it cost??

Thanks!

Most jewelry stores with an in-house shop offer both of these services and can quite possibly do them while you wait if they aren''t buried with other clients. Fees will vary quite a bit but it should be under $50 pretty much anywhere.

Any jewelry shop should be able to do this for you. But check around, I''ve found prices can vary dramatically.

Do you have a jeweler you have purchased other items from? Perhaps a watch, earrings, a bracelet? Sometimes, it''s a good thing to have a local jeweler you have a relationship with. I have one and even though I did not purchase my ring from them, they gladly polish it (it''s platinum too) at no charge. BTW......you mention Rhodium plating. You also mentioned the platinum band. It should not be necessary to Rhodium plate a platinum band. Platinum is white through and through.

Bachendorf''s in the Galleria has excellent customer service.
