Anyone in the market for a 40 Ct EC Diamond?

For some reason jewelry ads follow me no matter where I go on the web. I'm pretty good at ignoring them since I'm not really in the market for any new bling right now, but... this Ritani ad for a 40.24 ct emerald-cut diamond caught my attention and would not let go. It measures 24X16X11. I have to say I love pretty much everything about this stone except the price tag.

Does anyone have a spare $7 mil they'd like to lend me?

Yeah. I'd send it to Yoram F. for a re-cut for sure! 39 carats of excellent cut should still be worth 7.01 mil, right?

Since a recut would take it below the 40 carat mark, I think you should negotiate down to 6 million, at least.

Lol honestly though, what would or could a person do with a 40.24 carat diamond aside from put it behind bulletproof glass with laser security that you'd have to james bond through to get close enough to look at it. Still beautiful, then again I would hope so for 7 mil

I agree. Here's one that's MUCH more practical.
However, it's also only a 'very good' cut.

Oh my goodness - I really like the proportions on that one. And did you notice that these diamonds come with a lifetime diamond upgrade? No need to worry about diamond shrinkage syndrome!

I read somewhere there are a group of women in the US that have a shared bling fund and buy huge diamond bracelets and rings and have time allocated each to wear them........ - my vote is we all put in a bit and take timeshare on it we'd probably still be a few million short and only get to wear it once every 10 or more years
