I'm sad I couldn't go. Not only did I end up having a client at 6:00, but I had another client at 7:00 so there really was no way for me to make it. Normally the spa hasn't been busy on Thursday nights so I thought maybe I could rush and get there at 7:00. I met my husband and a friend for drinks at a pub right across the street from Dewey's after work and thought about going in to see if anyone was there but I was too nervous! Plus, I don't know what anyone looks like except for John via his avatar.

Snickle! I live pretty close to Lafayette Square! We should have an STL GTG! IIRC, Ame lives in the city, too. There have to be more of us on PS, too, right?

Ame, how was it last night?
It was AWESOME, as they always are. Jim and his lovely crew are fantastic hosts, and Paul might well be one of the most fascinating and awesome people to walk this planet. He's also HILARIOUS.

I do live south, about a mile west of the city line actually. Close enough to count when it's a good statistic and far enough to say "oh no, Im county!" We REALLY do need an STL GTG. I know there's more people on here from STL that don't post a lot. I am looking at you P and L and A. *points*

Ame I loved your description of what happens at one of these events
But THIS was priceless  :D
And I now want to sell my car to buy one of those. I have no idea what Ill weld. But you'd come to my house and see tons of stuff welded together. Random stuff. Just to see if it will stick.

Lol! You'll see me on the news for having welded my hand to my head or something.

Hello Folks,
The planning for a Meet the Cutter is a bit of a nail biter for the host. This is the third one at my shop and like anything else in a business ( or life?) I want these parties to improve. I am disappointed at Travel Goddess being unable to attend...and think next time I will do like Wink's past parties and have dinner at the shop (second floor porch if warmer) or my home to allow a later starting time....say 7ish?

When I got news Paul and John (Lieve hasn't made one of these yet) were coming to town I was trying to invite Pricescope people only, But even with Andrey's generous help I lost my nerve on the word getting out and sent out some invites anyway. I want to give Ame a special thanks for her prodding the Pricescope side to attend.

I do want to thank Paul and John...this is a business but I consider these guys special friends. We had a little free time before the event and the Infinity guys are pretty good guests (easy). Paul IS a lot funnier than how I think he sometimes comes across and John is ...well...a gem of a guy (until the history of the river city pushed him over the edge).
When we arrived back at the shop that afternoon my niece gave me a very sharp look and stated "You stink of beer!"
So it goes.

I got to meet Ellen at the one two or three years ago, and I really hope I get to meet more PS people at the next one. I was super bummed no one else from PS made it! This is like primo diamond gawking opportunity people!!! AND an endless supply of diet coke and delicious chocolates that were illegally smuggled in.

I really enjoy these events so I hope they continue. The balcony would be a wonderful location. I could live there in nice weather...REALLY neat balcony!

I think a later start time could be good, though then it's a really late night for some people and I hate when people leave early.
