Anyone have "great success" at sizing down an eternity band?

Hello!
I found a diamond/ruby eternity band to go with my diamond/ruby 3 stone ring... however.. it's a size 5 3/4 and I have to have it sized down to a 4 1/2. The size difference is too vast for sizing balls or a sizing bar. Has anyone ever sized down an eternity band about one full size and have it work out nicely? Thanks in advance for your experiences..
