Home Anyone have a good recommendation for a candy thermometer?

I HATE the candy thermometer I have. I just made fudge and it was registering way past the hardball stage when it hadn''t even hit the softball stage (after only boiling for MAYBE 10 minutes). I am so frustrated because it pretty much ruined an entire batch of fudge.

Anyone have a candy thermometer they like?
