I''m in Toronto and decided to go to Harold Weinstein for my diamond/ring appraisal. See the following post for his recommendation:

I had the same experience as ccuheartnurse. My ring and diamond was appraised at 2.9 times it''s purchase price!!!
I actually had them re-check their evaluation only to confirmed their initail results. Their evaluation was very close to my AGS cert except for the VS2 rating versus the SI1 on my AGS cert. They never asked to see my cert.
I''m curious if others have had the same experience with Harold Weinstein. It cost more to insure my engagement ring than my condo! I''m going to check out Chubb.
Any thought on this?
