Post hand shots (cause we don''t see many of those) of your three favorite colored stone rings. This should be fun

What - no one playing yet? I will post as soon as the storm passes (and I can decide on ring #3).

give me a couple weeks and I''ll have two of the three.

Favorites of our own or other posters too? I only have one, so HA, that''s pretty easy eh??

Your own rings (with colored stones) that you personally love the most.

Ok, I''ll play. My favorite would have to be my yellow diamond. Does that count?

A close second would be my new sapphire ring.....

Third would be my Tsavorite ring.........

Of course they count, they''re colored

I''ve been lurking for some time and finally decided to join the forum. Guess I''ve got to start somewhere, so here goes post #1. Left to right: emerald, amethyst, topaz. The topaz is from H. Stern, circa 1950s or 1960s, and was passed down to me by my mother. I found the amethyst in an antique store almost 20 years ago; the picture doesn''t do a great job of showing the red and blue flashes. Hubby chose the emerald and setting about 15 years ago, as my e-ring. The stone''s best described IRL as "Sprite bottle green." Let''s hope that photo posted; if not, how does one insert it after uploading it via attaching the file?

Sure, I'll play! Favourite of my own would have to be my Jeff White sapphire and Brian Gavin anni ring -

If we're posting others' rings - that could take a while!

ETA: oh, you said Three faves, whoops. Okay, I'll be back later.
G'nite all

Thank you crasru and klewis!

Wow, umm limiting it to 3 is tough but my first would probably be my BGD sapphire/diamond eternity band as I wear it just about every day.

Second would be my Leon Mege demantoid ring.

And 3rd would probably be my Andrew Sarosi rubelite ring.

Kismet, I fall in love with your demantoid ring every single time I see it.

Very pretty rings Mongo. I especially love the emerald.

Nice rings.

Thanks, Kismet. The emerald''s my fave. As for your demantoid garnet . . . excuse me while I wipe the drool off my chin.

Kismet...I love your demantoid and the ring. As to the rubellite ring...I remember how compulsive you were about the setting, and it came out lovely!
The eternity ring is very nice, too.

Mongo - I absolutely love your emerald. I think it is very clean and has a nice color. As to your amethyst - I have been looking for a beautiful amethyst for a long time so...I am slightly jealous of any beautiful amethyst. Just plain envious, so not commenting.

What an interesting name. I met it only once, and in a poem. Wonder where yours come from.

I''m still waiting on my blue tourmaline ring from Mich E before I pic favs. Hopefully I''ll at least be getting pics soon!

You must be thinking of someone else. My interactions with Andrew Sarosi were more along the lines of "Hey, this ring of yours with an oval stone in it, can you make another just like only using my square stone? You can? Awesome. Go to it."

Oh...There was more in your thread. How you met him at Tucson (?) gem show, how you l ike that ring, so many photographs of your ring...I am sorry. I just got a wrong impression. The pics were so good, though. I was trying to find that thread yesterday night but my head refused to cooperate. I''ll try today, I remember the ring and the stone, both are awesome.

You know, it varies on the mood I''m in. If I love orange, then my spessartites are my favorite rings, blue, then cuprians. I wear my green diamond everyday, it is a favorite, but I can''t say which rings are my favorites, except at a given time/mood.

Well, this is the ring I wear every day. My 1.51 ct green grey diamond in a rose gold setting. It can go from mint, blue, orange, metallic grey, green, and just changes colors all the time. It''s fascinating to wear and watch. As for any other two, it''s a toss up on my mood.

Great photos and rings!

I haven''t actually seen it. But i''m pretty sure this is going to be my favorite ring. It''s at my mom''s house but i''ll see it this weekend!

Wow, that's tough! Right now I guess I'd pick:

(1) My two-tone alexandrite lotus

jstar-alex12.jpg

(2) My JKT zircon

(3) My Creative Goldsmith tsavorite

Honorable mention would be my benitoite stacker from Kyle Anne Metals - the ring is simple, but the stone is remarkable. Benitoite is such a ridiculously beautiful stone...you really have to see one in person to appreciate its brightness and dispersion. It actually puts my demantoid to shame. I don't have any really good pics of it; this is the only decent one:
