Anyone feel like helping a guy out?

First off, a big thank you to all who post on this forum...SO glad I found this site. The quality and quantity of information on this site can be overwhelming for a diamond noob like me! Anyway, does anyone feel like helping a guy locate a princess cut stone for an engagement ring? I''d like to stay at or under the $3,000 dollar mark for the center stone. I had my eye on this one:

I even talked to Dave at James Allen and requested some photos and an Idealscope image, however per the JA website, this stone is no longer available. Anyone feel like helping me locate a stone with similar qualities? I''ve been researching/reading a lot and to be honest, I am a bit overwhelmed. Thanks to anyone who feels like chiming in.

Did you talk to Dave about getting the photos etc. prior to the site saying the diamond was no longer available? I was recenlty dealing with JA whilst looking for a radiant and several of the stones I looked at had that happen. They hadn''t actually been sold however, they were just listed that way while the JA staff was getting the information for me etc. A couple days after I received the data, the stones were listed as available again. It''s a good possibility the stone is still available, I''d call to verify.

I''ll let someone else chime in about the specs etc. I don''t know enough about princess cuts to be much help.

GG could be right, so check with JA if your original choice is available or not, if not, here is a nice diamond you could consider.

Thanks GG and Lorelei! I spoke with Dave and he put in the request for more data before the site had been updated, maybe it is still available. I just sent JA an email asking to confirm.

If it is still available, I was thinking of having it set in the JA 2.2 mm wire setting. Has anyone seen this or a similar setting? Just curious if wire basket portion of this setting hides the diamond at all?

Thanks! That is a similar setting to mine, except I have double prongs. The setting won''t affect how the diamond sparkles in any way if that is a concern, also I find it to be a nice safe setting also.

I haven''t posted a pic of the setting, but I am delighted with it, also having had the traditional 6 prong, I really like the basket.
