Anyone else still waiting on USPS?

I have something I ordered from CA Dec 13 and it’s been, according to tracking, sitting at an LA post office since the 15th. I opened a case, because when that has happened in the past, opening a case and a jumpstart things. Instead two days later I got a “case resolved“ notification in a generic email about Covid causing delays. I knew that there were delays but thought that after the holidays it would’ve at least moved closer to me. Ugh!! :confused2:

Yup. Mailed out things in early December that are still out there somewhere. Just hoping it arrives by mid January haha

From the articles I read between having a bunch of their workforce not at work because of COVID and people ordering waaaayy more packages than ever it's been hard for them this year. That and I think I read somewhere ups and fed ex also stopped taking packages. USPS is the only one who can't say no so they got their packages too on top of it. It might be a bit before they can dig out the mess :( I would give it til Jan 2 at least if not.mid January and try again with them. Hopefully now they might be able to start moving more mail and you will get your package soon :(

Had a similar experience here with medication that took 2 1/2 weeks to arrive. It was stuck for 10 days. Called the company multiple times and it finally moved. It generally is delivered within 4 days. I cringe whenever I see delivery by UPPS now. Good luck!

Meant USPS!

Yep - still waiting for things I sent to arrive and things I’m receiving to get here. A few items I sent Priority 3 day took 2-3 weeks to arrive.

I am also still waiting for things I ordered weeks ago.

Not exactly but I’m waiting for UPS. And I don’t think they’re going to make the by 10:30am promised delivery time.

7 minutes til 10:30 am...

Yes, this season has been a bear. I have stopped looking.

I’m in a different city for the holidays so I just hope I get it before I leave!! And yes LA is such a hotspot- I’ve ordered things after that have already arrived. Good to know I’m not alone.

I have a package that was coming from MA to NY.. sent out priority on December 22.. sat in MA until yesterday..today it is in Tampa, Fl..

Sort of. Pearl studs ordered 4th Dec sent by International USPS mail. Arrived U.K. 10th Dec where they spent ages in customs. Transferred to Royal Mail as always, arrived at delivery office 24th Dec. Still waiting for letter to pay customs charges, tried to call today, 30 min wait. Guess they’ll be my New Year pressie now! I’m amazed that it takes so long for a parcel to get this far when a human can do it in 12 hours.

Yes...Mine is from California to Ireland so looks like it'll take a while. Things do seem to be moving very slowly. Tracking showed the package stayed in California for ten days (!) and there has been no update since the 24th, sigh. And then (as far as I know) all post has been arriving into Ireland by sea ferry instead of air freight, and the travel ban/restrictions between here the UK hasn't been helping either, so I've no idea any more how long it's going to take.

Usually I'm very patient with waiting for international packages, but I'm definitely more worried about this one, as Etsy's global shipping handler may have "auto-corrected" the address I provided and put a wrong postcode on my package, so that even when it gets here, it may go to the wrong address or get returned, which is just infuriating.

Hoping everyone's packages will arrive safely and not too delayed, and hoping for fewer postal headaches next year...

I ordered something from Etsy on November 17 that shipped on the 18th, and the tracking number is STILL not even in the USPS system! I contacted the seller and he was like, "I shipped it on November 18. There's nothing I can do."

Under normal circumstances I'd just ask for a refund since it has been 6 weeks and there is no indication of where the item is, but given the situation at USPS I've decided to try to be patient awhile longer. I'll give it until mid-January before throwing in the towel.

Fingers crossed for you and the seller that your package will arrive soon! Post is crazy every year between November and January in any case, and this year it's just off the charts. :wall:

I just received 3 items I've been waiting on for 3+ weeks. Each of them had been stuck in NJ for 10+ days. Surprisingly, they all showed up together today.

I'm also waiting for 2 items I sold on eBay to be delivered to the purchasers. One has been sitting here in Brooklyn since the 15th, and the other has taken 10 days just to make it as far as NJ.

Yes, one item has been stuck, last scanned at a CA sorting facility on December 18, no movement since. I also opened a USPS case, and it was closed the next day with a generic response.

Mail is a bit of an issue. they had a triple whammy year (covid, election, holidays).

I ordered Christmas stamps on-line from USPS on Dec 5th.
They arrived on Dec 23rd :wall: Hoping folks will get their cards by Valentines Day:lol:

I have Sephora 2 day shipping but instead of UPS they are sending stuff USPS and it’s taking about 15 days.

I found out today that my migraine medication, shipped out on December 19 via the USPS (from somewhere in Pennsylvania, I believe), is sitting in the Philadelphia Post Office. The pharmacy shipping it cannot reach the Post Office by phone; the wait time is over an hour.

That’s awful!!

I am SO sorry to hear this. They really need to allow people to pick up at the pharmacy right now.

Buckets and containers full of dust to you and Greg! 2021 will be a better year , rooting for you guys!

Has anyone who replied to this thread gotten their stuff yet? I filed a second case, and this time they are saying they will probably have to declare it lost. It was scanned last Dec 15th. I'm still holding out hope and wondering if any of you who were waiting for weeks ever got your thing. I'm so bummed. This was the item:
