hello, anyone bought a tacori style ring from the people at Quest Jewelers? if so, how do u rate their quality for the ring? how is the milgrain work and craftmanship? please post pics if you have them. :)

ps. any one own a Crescent Silhouette in particular ;)

I believe there are a number of quest custom rings if you do a search. I''ll try and think of a few for you.

LondonBlue''s gorgeous sapphire ring was made by quest:

You want an exact copy? Are they willing to do that? Usually they have to change the design by 20%.

i am changing the design of the head completly as well a few changes on the rest... more about 40-50%. its legit .. and im very excited... im taking a few ideas i liked from other designers and making one ring.

anyone have more examples with their milgrain work? or the tacori style

What do you mean by milgrain work? If it means detailed work, absolutely. Their work and craftsmanship is nothing short of amazing; 12 out of 10 for quality!

Here's the thread link to the ring I have custom made by Quest Jewelers. It is a Scott Kay, slightly redesigned:

They do EXCEPTIONAL work and I couldn't be a more happy customer. They are very easy to work with and the final product I received exceeded my expectations by a long shot. I am very happy with the ring. You will not be disappointed.

wow. that is a nice ring... its very precise. which is what i am really looking for. I am very picky and i have heard good things about them. Im waiting on a quote today from them. let me see what they say. I too modified a design i like. i have not been satisfied with any ring i have seen ready made. I have to go custom.

i like how ur ring is very accuratly cut. everything is alligned.

the milgrain pattern on the ring i want could make or break my ring. this is why i want to see some examples of their work. there is alot of milgrain on the ring i want and i would like to see the difference in their work with others.

Is there more than i way to do a milgrain? like small ones, big ones, or deep or shallow? anything i should know about milgrain fading with time or polishing?

What do you ask for to sweeten the deal when they give you a quote?

Thank you.

I would ask those milgrain questions to Quest themselves as I am no expert in the field and wouldn't know; but, I do know the kind of work they do and their precision and quality - which is SUPERB. If you work with them, I am sure they will give you more than you wanted from it.

Not exactly sure what you mean by "sweeten the deal" (reducing the quote?) ... tell them you were referred by Levik - I recently made the engagement ring purchase from them and Huan (one of the brothers) knows me very well. I would speak with Huan and tell him I referred you to them - he's awesome to work with and prompt with responses. It won't reduce the quote just by saying I referred you, but I'm a very happy customer.

Whatever quote they do you, however, I am sure is very fair and for the quality of work they do, it is absolutely worth every penny. I wouldn't hesitate for a second with their work.

I don''t have pictures, but I was just in there last week (planning on having custom work done)--- Pete show me some of his work-- with a ton of milligrain--- It is FLAWLESS. Absolutely brilliant. I was already going to work with him based on reputation, so seeing that was icing on the cake.
I wouldn''t hesitate to work with them!
