Does anyone have any good links book marked to paint idea sites online? We have just decided that this summer will be repaint summer. We already know we want to redo our kitchen cabinets. They are a dark green right now. We did a sort of Olive garden Tuscany theme on our kitchen 5 years agao. We now want to repaint everything on our main floor. Kitchen, living room , bathroom and 3 bedrooms. Oh yes and a hallway. Sounds like a big job I know. Last time we did it though, we put all new trim and crown molding and that kind of thing so it took forever. This time it''s just wall colors. We will keep our white crown molding and trim. Kitchen cabinets will be the most time consuming.

Anyway, I just wondered if anyone might have any ideas where I could look online verses investing in a ton of decorating magazines.

I am not sure online but I always look at catalogs for ideas (best of all they are free). Pottery Barn is a good one b/s they tell you what the paint color is (they have their own line now).

Better Homes and Gardens and either Traditional Home or Southern Accents have some good inspiration.

I spend a lot of time...eh hem...that I am not spending here...on HGTV.com. They have a video link and you can do a search on videos. Keywords color and color splash and paint will get you a lot of videos that will show before and after. They are usually 4 minutes long...you can stop them midway and move on to another.

keyword kitchen painting may get you just what you are looking for. But it would definitely be where I would go instead of a magazine stand...

Had you considered antique finish for you cabinetry? You add a color of say white paint...and then rub off some and leave the cracks and crevice''s...or the shabby chic look where you sand away your green to reveal aged look?

Sounds like you are wanting a whole new application and change but if you chicken out...or mess up...you could use those techniques and gain a new look and add new hardware. Good luck it sounds like fun!!

great ideas....I can''t wait to get started. I have thought of the antique look for the cabinets. I do want to keep one aspect that I already have in the kitchen. That is the sofit above our cabinets, I put paintable wallpaper on that area that we than did a two color paint step to make it look like copper. Everyone that has seen it has always thought it was real copper. Than we added hardware on the cabinets that is coppery as well. We would like to keep that but I think it will blend in well with an antique look as well.....

Okay Iam off to get inspired! thank you ladies! :)

Try Domino magazine online. If you haven''t checked into this mag, it''s great because they actually give you the brand and name of the paint they use in their photographs! It keeps you from getting to the store and having your eyes glaze over at all the selections.

The online version should have the same.
