Playing DA - devil''s advocate, not district attorney

- we prefer not to dismiss thin girdles out of hand. Girdle thickness is a range so ''thin'' could be one micron away from medium, or it could be one micron away from very thin. An expert with the diamond in-hand can provide this information.

Speaking practically, the range for thin is wider than the range for medium & slightly thick combined (AGS) so many nice candidates land there. We just prefer not to dismiss them without more info. This thread gets pretty girdle-y and has some graphics that might be of interest.
