Any substantial difference between these two diamonds?

All,

I am between two diamonds for the ring pictured below.

The characteristics are:

Option A = 0.47ct, E, VVS2
Option B = 0.43ct, F, VVS1

I understamd that generally speaking Option A should be a better one, but are there any substantial difference that you think a normal person like my fiance would notice?

All the details of my global quest of the e-ring, for those interested, here

Hi Paolom

Are both diamonds from Cartier?

I take it you have seen both? Do you have a preference? I am not sure how Cartier categorize the cut quality of their diamonds but I wouldn't think they would sell badly cut stones. Out of the colour and clarity grades you mention you would not, or your fiance would not notice any visual difference between them assuming both are well cut. Either are of very high quality, see which one ' speaks' to you the most. Also you could lower your colour and clarity to maybe F or G and VS without visual sacrifice if the cut is great but it depends on your priorities.

No, unfortunately I have not seen both. I've seen actually only Option A.

Option A is available (complete ring) at Cartier in New York where I'm until tomorrow for a business trip.
Option B is available (complete ring as well) in European Union where I live. I could see it and buy it next week in London and return it to Cartier in Madrid if something went wrong (I beleive though my fiance would love it).

Option B price is 100 $ more expensive than Option A. But it is not really this the issue.

The problem is more: should I take the additional fuss of buying the ring in new york (e.g. is the ring a really better ring) or don't bother about differences and go with the London option?

Sorry, double post.

Considering it is such a reputable vendor and they are so close I''d say you could flip a coin.
No substantial difference.

Thank you all!

I went for Option A in the end.... I saw it and liked it a lot!
