I have to admit; I love cats! I have had cats pretty much my whole life. I won''t deny that they require more care than what you think cats would require, but then I like to rescue formerly abused adult cats and nurture them. I haven''t had a kitten in I don''t know how long. But I''m happy with my two, and I''m sure the hubby won''t let me rescue any more cats no matter how much I would like to do so.

I love cats, but dogs are just too much work IMO. So we have 2 cats and will not get any more pets. I would be sad if I didn't have them.

I love cats, but don''t really care about dogs. I even dislike small dogs. DH is crazy about pets... If it was up to him we''d have a menagerie, but I imposed a limit of two animals and he has to do the vaccuuming. I take good care of my pets, but people who treat pets like people (or even better than) is something I will never understand.

I simply can''t imagine my current life or my childhood without pets... BUT...

They stink, they shed, they require food, litter, lots of exercise, toys, they can bite, scratch, chew, tear up your flooring, tear up your couch, eat your homework, knock things over, bark, health problems are sometimes hard to diagnose, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah.

I think a person must be really, truly, deeply pet-devoted and a self-proclaimed animal lover to enjoy a pet despite all the trouble one may cause. And not everyone is- which is COMPLETELY fine. I have far, far more respect for people who say, "I just don''t dig animals and my life is better without a pet," than those who jump into pet ownership without considering the real responsibility that comes along with it. Most shelter animals are owner relinquishes

No pets here. Husband is allergic to dogs and kids are allergic to cats. I LOVE dogs so I am sad, but I just got a grandpuppy this past weekend! Unfortunately she cannot come over to the house.

I like fish...........but getting snuggly with an animal is definitely not my thing. I hate cats(and never said anything before for fear of retaliation) but have considered getting a small dog for my boys. I came across an article ages ago about how animal lovers make better parents and had more loving relationships than non-pet people. I kinda wish I could get all crazy for an animal but it is just not in me. Sorry for my rambling
