Hi! I am looking for examples of colored round/roval stones with simple prongs (claw even if possible), no pave, no diamonds, no sidestones - just a simple plain band to accompany the stone.

Would y''all mind posting examples? I haven''t seen anything that "basic" for colored stones and wanted to know how that would look so I have all the options in my head

Thanks in advance!

Mine isn''t round, but the picture is so blurry it looks round! I wear my pink tourmaline lotus with my plain white gold wedding ring all the time.

Check out CSER/E, there are several in that thread.

None of these are for sale, just posted as examples of stones in plain gold settings, all custom made by various goldsmiths.

One last one.

I prefer these types of mountings. I''m not big on the diamond halo thing.

This one was done by a Pricescope vendor.

Is it possible to get a picture of this with more light? The purple (?) stone solitaire?

Also, is there information on the size of the stone?

Hmm I think the only ones that I have that fit your criteria might be this one (blue tourmaline in a four-prong setting - the prongs are a bit heavier though):

And my blue spinel in a simple trellis setting:

Also here at top:

Maybe my Lotus with its super thin but plain shank - the prongs are oriented differently though

And I have my aqua asscher in a super simple four-prong knife-edge setting. Wrong shape but helps you get the idea:

This is an oval, but the rest fits the bill.

It''s not too often that you see plain settings for the coloured stones. I think they really showcase the stone itself. Thanks for posting them.
