ME! I am slowly working on gathering new decorations. I plan on our place being DECKED OUT over the years. I've already started my scary movie fest! LOVE your fireplace!

Dh and I are from new england where halloween is pretty much our mardi gras so we take it seriously. We hung up our halloween lights and spider webbing yesterday all over our front porch and deck + trees. I have started with the inside of the house but it will take a few more days to finish. Now that the kids are more mobile I'm worried about them breaking stuff or hurting themselves. I might actually have to scale back

We do it up right even though we are in the deep south. I got my "fall" decorations out last weekend, but I always wait until October 1st to put out Halloween decorations. Plus it's hard to get in the mood when it's still 95 degrees outside.

If we DON'T sell in the next month or two, we will be here until spring. I love it here, but looking forward to getting to Mass. I love it there! After college, I lived there for a few years splitting time in Watertown and Winthrop.

I'm semi interested to know where in NH you are as you said your husband was an engineer or worked with engineers. When I was in NH I did the same. Small world right?!

yes! it is. He is a software engineer. Worked in Lebanon in Centerra Pkwy.

We don't do Halloween until I give Fall its due.

I too live down south and my fall stuff has been up since last week, on October 1 Halloween will roll out, not too scary this year because of the grand kids.
After Halloween, out come the turkeys and Pilgrims, followed on the first Sat in December by Christmas!!
Not sure if you remember my pumpkins from last year, well this year I'm making pumpkin trios!

My birthday is on Halloween so I'm ALL ABOUT it. But I normally don't decorate for Halloween only because I have to take it down too soon so I just decorate for Fall with a few jack-o-lanterns around. But yeah, I decorated for Fall when it was 90 degrees out and on the second weekend of September. I'm a little cray. Christmas is even worse because DH really gets into that one so it really winds up looking like Christmas threw up in our house. Gotta do something to make myself feel like there's a season change because the weather here in So. Cal certainly isn't doing it.
