I don't know what's wrong but after 24 hours my vision is as bad as when I put on my new glasses if not worse. Immediately had the worst double vision, even up close.

Been wearing glasses 50 years and had prisms a long time, so I'm no stranger to adjusting to new lenses. I took them off today as I can't drive or walk safely without tripping. Back to the optometrist tomorrow to see what's wrong I guess.

How frustrating. These were back ordered and took 3 months instead of the usual 2 weeks. Back to the drawing board.

I too am busy with ophthalmologists managing my decades-long glaucoma condition, now upgraded to severe with growing blind spots we are combating.

I'm so grateful for modern medicine, not to mention good insurance.
Today you've introduced me to eyeglasses with prism lenses.

It's good that you're going back to see your own optometrist tomorrow-- sometimes it's just a matter of adjusting the angle of the lens in the frame. Or maybe the lab made them wrong. In any case they are the one to know best what to do.

I've had double vision from a wandering eye for 40 years. It was time for a stronger prism but I wonder if it's just too strong. My vision is now fully double up close and far away so I've had to put my old glasses back on. Such a relief.
My double vision used to happen for distance, not up close, as with the new lenses. So odd. I'm one of those whose mood changes drastically when my glasses are off. Today I was panicking. Hubbo said "take those d@mn glasses off, they aren't right". Right you are!

Yes. All up to date and everything back to normal with my old glasses on.
It's like I've got a stranger's glasses on.
I do wonder what's happening as I usually adjust quickly to new lenses.

They weren't cheap. I have high end lenses and frames but there's an excellent return policy so not worried there. I just want to know what went wrong.

Mystery solved and another lesson to myself to stop the bloody ruminating.

They didn't put a n y prism in my lenses.

That would explain feeling like I was in the wrong glasses and whilst technically seeing, felt blind. I was in the wrong glasses LOL.

New lenses are being ordered. Another two weeks to wait. Gah.

The shop has been good over the years but they've really dropped the ball on this order. From the beginning.

When one needs their glasses to see ... they can't see what's wrong with their glasses ... without their glasses on.
