like Christian Louboutin, Manolo Blahnik, Jimmy Choo? pics please.. :))

Not yet... :naughty:

The most expensive pair of shoes I own right now were my wedding shoes...Stuart Weitzmans. Definitely not cheap...but not as expensive as the brands you named, DF.

Nope.

Not the brands you mention. I find them incredibly uncomfortable for what they are. I do dance however, and have some very nice tango shoes that are incredibly well made and pretty. (They have to be to put up with hours of dancing and they take a beating.) I even have several tango dancing acquaintances who, while they could afford high end Manolo's prefer Tango shoes instead- just as pretty and much more comfy. (Leather bottomed so can be worn as street shoes). So instead of blowing $800+ on a pair of Manolo's they's buy 3-4 pair of Comme Il Faut.

Here are some of my tango shoes, which for really nice ones tend to run in the $200 or so range.

My newest pair:

my long lost pair of purple Comme Il Faut's...which never fit my feet right so I sold them...so sad!!!!

In my closet right now:

Jimmy Choo
Miu miu
Prada
Aruna Seth
Gina
YSL

I can't wear loubs, they hurt my feet a whole bunch.

Edit: I forgot I had a pair by Chloe. Clearly, I have too many shoes!

BastetCat, OMG, that last pair! SO beautiful.

I don't tend to go for any of the big-name brands, but I'm addicted to Fluevogs. Cool, unusual, and SO comfortable. I got the pair below during a PS GTG ... when I was eight months pregnant! Wore them out of the store, and through the delivery. It was like walking on CLOUDS.

Not those brands. I hate spending a lot of money on shoes unless it's for hiking, running or stomping around in snow (because then it's a practical issues of foot protection and comfort). I did pick up a pair of Cole Haan which retail for $250-300 but I only paid $40 at some place in Phoenix. They are the MOST comfortable high heels I"ve ever worn...they have Nike Air technology and it makes a huge difference.

Those shoes are so you, love them!

I'm addicted to Fiorentini + Baker boots myself, which run about $500 depending on if I can catch them on sale. (I stopped by the F+B store during the same GTG that Circe got those awesome Fluevogs!) And I just got a pair of Wolverine 1000 Mile boots and they are ridiculously comfortable. Those are around $350 full price, but I lucked out and got mine for $220ish on sale.

I'll pay a lot for good shoes-I have long narrow feet and it's very hard for me to find cute, comfortable shoes that actually fit me. These are my fave pair of F+B boots:

Yes, I do!! I'm obsessed with CL and I almost never purchase a pair of heels unless they have a red sole:) I find them to be incredibly sexy and most of the styles I own, are quite comfortable too. The exception would be my latest purchase, which was a pair of YSL Tribute sandals (I've had them on my wish list for quite some time). Besides, CL, I have lots of Prada & Chanel for more casual types of shoes.

Yes, only one pair.

My husband got them for me for my birthday last year and I love those shoes so, so much.

They are Sergio Rossi shoes with crystals all over the entire shoe

They catch a lot of peoples attention with all the sparkle...love, love, love!!!!!!!!

Oh I like those AN! Are Sergio Rossi relatively comfy?

Nope. The most I spend on shoes is in the $130 range, and that is for running shoes. I've got crazy high arches, so most fancy shoes just aren't comfy.

Nope. I just don't "get it" when it comes to expensive ($500+) shoes. I think the most I've ever spent on a pair of shoes is $120. Just give me my Birks, tyvm. Screw high heels!

My venom of choice is jewelry, not shoes.
But I do own a pair of pony hair point-toed Dolce and Gabbanas that I purchased from a thrift shop for $60.
And I own a pair of UGG boots.
And I used to spend $200 on my Vera Wang flats for work. They last forever and a day, and are uber comfy.

So my limit is $200/pair. Not $2000. :$$):

I guess I *could* have Louboutins……. yeah… but then I wouldn't have all my bling!!!!

I was going to say yes, until you listed those designers! Expensive heels to me is $150-200  Then again, since I wear mostly uggs or flip flops (I have a very casual style) I couldn't justify spending that much $ on shoes to sit in the closet and look pretty.

Rosetta, they are really comfortable! I was really surprised. Which of yours are most comfortable?

My most expensive pair of shoes are my Ariat tall boots. So comfy, I love them!

That's not me in the picture, just an ad!

Autumnnovember- those are really pretty! Unfortuntely, after 20 years of dancing, my feet (toes) will not go to that position to wear a pair that high! ;(

Circe- thank you! Though I LOVE the styling on CIF's, they tend to run narrow, and dancing does not lead to narrow feet so I have other brands that are more "wide foot friendly" . =) But I LOVE those shoes of yours! I had a pair something like that I got in London years and years ago, which don't anywhere near fit anymore, but I keep tucked in the closet for memories!

Yes, I have Louboutin, Manolo Blahnik, AND Jimmy Choo! Just wore Manolo Blahniks for my wedding and they were amazing.

I used to collect and hoard shoes, the more the merrier. Over the last few years I've transitioned to a less is more mentality, paying more attention to quality over quantity. My basic black Louboutin pumps are easily the most comfortable heels I've ever worn, and I've worn lots of heels.

How do you ladies wear heels? I swear, I can wear them for 10 minutes before my feet kill me. It's a different story if I'm drunk wasted, then I don't feel my toes so I don't mind. But I can't wear them to work for a shift at all. I've tried those gel insoles, and it doesn't help much :knockout:

Maybe that's why I'm not a shoe person? I don't spend money on them cus I can't wear em!!

This. Totally. Not much sense chasing after kids in $2000K+ shoes. Now, I can chase in jewelry, no problem.

Aruna Seth, by far. I wore a pair to one of my wedding ceremonies. :))

If by expensive shoes you mean CONVERSE, yes. lol I can't wear heels. Not for lack of trying. My one goal in life for my 30th bday was to learn to walk in heels. I failed that goal MISERABLY. I cannot do it. I cannot tolerate any discomfort in my shoes. So if they're not completely comfortable the entire time, I can't do it.

Yes. Sadly (for The Pharmacist), expensive shoes are pretty much the only type of shoes I wear:

image_323.jpg

I have a mix of everything - Louboutin, Blahnik, Chanel, YSL, Valentino, Miu Miu, Prada, Kirkwood, Charlotte Olympia, DSquared, Gucci etc. I buy them because I know they'll always fit, and also because I don't like buying copies or inspired versions of things. I'd rather have the original, or nothing at all.

And, just for you DF, my latest pair of Louboutin stilettos (I wore these to my engagement party a couple of weekends ago):

how much? $1300 bucks?...

Thing2-love your boots! I have Steve Maddens which have studs on them but are the same overall look as yours. I really need to get a pair of those. For comfortable well made boots I would spend the money.

Aviastar-I love your boots, too! I don't have any that high but think they look adorable with skirts. Very nice :))

AN- those shoes are so sexy. In my younger days I would have worn those to death!

I can't wear heels anymore due to a health issue. Wish I could  Love everyones shoes & boots :))

That's my problem. My arches are so high that even standing flat nothing is touching the ground between the heel and ball of my foot. So when I wear heels, all of my weight is on the balls of my feet so it's basically like I'm walking on tippy toes all night. So uncomfortable.

HI:

I love shoes. I absolutely ADORE Gucci shoes. And Prada. And Roger Vivier. Oh and LV too. Lab's are OK--kinda uncomfy. Those flat Lanvin's nearly did me in--I have a high arch.

Weitzman's are a great fit.

Sorry.

cheers--Sharon

OMG, I just had a shoe-gasim looking at the beautiful shoes in Zahra's closet.
