Hi Sabine! Where are you stationed? San Diego?

I love your name, btw. It was a contender when I was pregnant with our fourth.

Not a wife yet, but I will be in a couple years. :)

He''s in the air force. Which branch is your husband in?

My husband is a Ret. Army Captain and I''m the daughter of a Ret. Lt. Colonel.

My hubby is a Major in the Army. We''re currently stationed in DC while he attends graduate school. Then, a short trip up the road to Fort Meade, MD.

We're currently in Portsmouth, Va while he does his internship year. After this year, he'll be doing some active duty time before finishing his residency. He'll be doing flight surgery, so our next move is to Pensacola for flight school, and my dh is very excited about it!

ETA, Waxing...glad you like the name! When I took French in middle and high school, we had to pick a "new" name in that language, so Sabine was my French name.

I don''t have anything to add but to say thank you to the families of the brave men and women who serve our country.

Thoughts and prayers are with you and your loved ones always.

Retired Army wife here. Well, he''s retired army and I''m still the wife - not that i''ve retired as his wife - though there are moments LOL

I''m the wife of an honorably discharged Sargeant of the 82nd Airborne Division (three years active duty, four years reserves). My husband fought in combat in Greneda and Nicaragua (when Noriega was in power). Thank God it was a long time ago. I give you military wives all the credit in the world for being able to handle your husbands being away. I don''t think I could do it now.

We bumped into one of my husband''s former commanding officers who tried to convince him to serve again after 9/11. I told this huge (and I mean HUGE) man right to his face that he could only have my husband again over my dead body.

Wow. I bet you can''t wait to see him again! Do you have any special plans for the first night he is home?

Currently, Lane and I only go 5 days without seeing each other. That is going to change next month. For the summer he''s in training before coming back to the place he is now.

We found out earlier this month that he would be staying where he is and becoming an instructor pilot. Why or why they choose to drag things out and put them through a painful ceremony to reveal their careers and locations is beyond me!

i''ll be permanently attached to my jarhead in two months

i''m looking foreward to moving to nice, warm cali

Aww thank you. It is difficult, but it makes me really confident in the strength of our relationship after all we''ve already been through!

That''s where we''re trying to get stationed. Probably not ''til late summer or early fall. I love San Diego. It''s home. I can''t wait to go back.

Navy wife checking in. DH used to be in Norfolk; he''s now in flight school in Pensacola. I''m thankful your husband is serving as a doctor, but I also pray my DH never has to see yours
