Hi! I'm new here. Just starting to look at rings with my partner and trying to educate myself. I heard this was the best community for diamond questions, so here I am! I am all about vintage/antique jewelry, so it feels even more difficult to get a sense of what's what when every ring I come across is basically one-of-a-kind at this point.

Anyhow...I came across a ring I really like the looks of, and I am wondering if there are any major red flags I am missing. Here are the stats from the GIA report:

EMERALD CUT
Measurements 6.89 x 5.40 x 3.35 mm
Carat Weight 1.09 carat
Color Grade E
Clarity Grade VS1

PROPORTIONS
Depth 62.0 %
Table 72 %
Girdle Medium to Thick
Culet Very Small

FINISH
Polish Good
Symmetry Very Good

FLUORESCENCE
Fluorescence None

And here is a link to the map of characteristics:

I know it is more square than most emerald cuts, but I actually like the look of its proportions. Anything else here that would give you pause?

Anybody have any thoughts?

Thanks!

One needs images with these fancy shapes; happen to have an Ideal-Scope or ASET of it?

Thanks for chiming in! No Ideal-Scope or ASET that I am aware of, but I haven't been in touch with the seller so there may be one that just isn't in the listing.

Not going to lie, there is a part of me that is afraid to post pictures out of fear that if it's nice someone will track it down and snap it up before I can. But here goes:

Thoughts?

Could be nice, could be a dud! It's so hard to tell from those pictures. They certainly aren't too flattering as far as a variety of lighting environments.
