DH and I were invited to a wedding that we must RSVP for on the couple''s Knot website. When I go to the site to do this, there is only an option to enter my name which leads me to believe that I would be RSVP''ing "yes" to the event. Is this true?
We are not able to attend the wedding because we already have a trip booked for the same weekend. I am thinking maybe I should just send our gift and card early to the the couple, making it clear that we won''t be there, but I am not sure that is good enough. DH and I did not open any of our gifts until after our wedding, so had someone RSVPed for our reception in this fashion, we wouldn''t have known until after the event. I just don''t want them to pay for meals or expect us to be there when we won''t make it. Also, I sort of want the opportunity to tell them why we won''t be there. Thanks!
