It is a vintage jade piece and I don’t know much about it. Can anyone tell me anything about the quality of the jade by my photos? I am thinking of selling it to fund another project and I don’t have any idea where to begin. I will probably have it appraised if anyone can give me an idea of if it is even worth it to do so.

The stones are quite translucent and it is stamped 14k.

It appears to be decent quality nephrite, the more common form of jade.

The rarer form - Jadeite - is also known as Burma Jade. It is the form considered 'precious jade', which in bright apple coloration is much more valuable. "Imperial jade" is emerald green color and translucent and commands top dollar.

Might I suggest you request your thread be moved to the Colored Stones forum, all our jade experts hang out over there.

Good idea, @prs!

Looks like nephrite. Lovely green. Paul Lanyon at Etsy JadeMineCanada seems bracelets at these prices, without the gold.

I like Paul. Always very good with pictures and advice. I have not bought from him but he is very knowledgeable and candid with his description. He told me everything, good and bad, about the item I was asking about.

I am not a jade expert. I have had my fair share of errors.
