Last time around we had a wonderful time downtown, but we never made it to Canturi, or Fred Leighton, or Stephen Russell, or Graff, Leviev, or de Grisogono! In other words, the UES. Anybody else interested in a little holiday bling excursion? :rodent:

Gonna be in NYC this weekend! But I'm guessing that's not when the GTG is happening ::) If the 4 hour bus ride wasn't such a pain, I'd come to NYC just to see your new frenchie, Circe! Never seen a french cut in real life, but from the pics I'm guessing it's divine :halo:

Ooo, what are you in town for? We could always grab a coffee, if you like - but yeah, you're right, bigger GTGs are like military campaigns to accommodate more people. Logistics, logistics, logistics!

P.S. - While I hope we all get the chance to meet up sooner, c'mon, we HAVE to have a group outing to this: http://www.newyorkantiquejewelryandwatchshow.com/

OMG! Yes, that is an East Coast PS *must* get together!

DH and I are just coming to the city to be tourists for the holiday-decorated city. Coffee might be nice, though DH may roll his eyes a bit ;)) But I dunno, I wouldn't want you to take time out of your weekend just to satisfy my french-cut curiosity. I'll keep a lookout for when the general NY get together happens. And the antique jewelery show, yes please!

I would SO want to join... but I moved to Miami. Would love to see you again Circe!!

Enjoy this GTG but could I put in a plug for an April 15 - 17 GTG in the spring? DH and I are returning to NYC at that time due to not being able to see anything (and I mean ANYTHING!) during the Hurricane Sandy visit we had this fall, so if there is a chance you could ALSO aim to do one in the spring... I'm *IN* for that one!!!

That jewelry show looks amazing. May have to make a trip to NYC this summer!

I've never done a get together, but I am far too lazy to go tramping around an exhibition! I just want to sit in a restaurant or hotel room and talk and look at others' bling.... I have seen photos of women around a table. That looks like fun to me! And, yes, if I can escape my daughter I'd attend a get together in New York! There's also a nice Hyatt Regency here in Old Greenwich, Connecticut, half an hour away from Manhattan by train. The hotel has a shuttle from the railroad station, but I am available to drive people in my Jeep to the hotel, too. Greenwich is pretty if you want to take a day away from New York.

Circe, what was the name of that antique shop with the most gorgeous pearls and EVERYTHING on the wall?? I can't recall it anymore

bump for desired response from Circe :))

Heheheh - sorry, WakingDreams, disappeared for a little there. Was it the first one we went to? That's DuMont Estate Jewelry. I love them, they're so terribly nice about everything - up to and including encouraging random browsers to try on the eight-carat earrings! :cheeky: I tell you, I'm spoiled for all other aural adornment. No website, but the one review that pops up has an image of the store-front ... https://plus.google.com/109640067331519860783/about?hl=en

AGBF, I actually would love to take a day-trip to Greenwich one of these days. Betteridge is in your neck of the woods, yes? And if it goes in the other direction and you come here, I am all too happy to sit in a restaurant or what-have-you and talk bling. :rodent:

Enerchi, consider it a done deal, at least as far as I'm concerned - I'm so glad you have a chance to come back! Sandy was miserable, and it seems only fair you get to see us at our best as well as our worst.

Gemfever, Rosebloom - DO IT. You know you want to: the siren song of the gems is calling to you! Visit us, it keens!

I live one block from that du mont estate place on prince st. It closed about 5 months ago.

Oh, now that's a damned shame. Thanks for the heads-up, though.

WOO HOO!! I'd be thrilled to meet you and as many other PSer's as would care to join us! DH was a very VERY tolerant man going to the jewelry spots with me and took AWESOME photos, so if you don't mind a male in the midst, he can be our very own "OFFICIAL PS TRAVELLING PHOTOGRAPHER" Lets set it up closer to the date, but I just wanted to say "THANKS"! for being up for another one in April!! :appl: :appl: :appl: :appl:

I would be interested in a GTG! Would love to meet other PSers in the city!

Definitely!! I can't do anything until at least second weekend of Jan though :(sad

Count me in for the big one in April! I'll have my RDG by then ::)
