This is kind of neat so I thought I would share. He is related to my husband, I've never met him but have heard he is very talented. Also not bad on the eyes.

A Little Bit Me, A Little Bit You is my favorite Monkees song. Back when songs told an actual story and didn't just loop the same saying over and over. Proof you're getting old, when you find current popular music intolerable!

I have never heard of this guy, but I had all the Monkees albums back in the day. Me and my sis also loved the TV show.
Valerie is my fav song. We all thought Mickey Dolenz was hot until he permed his hair!!!

A good friend of mine played with Strawberry Alarm Clock in the 80's.
They were on Solid Gold! Total lip sync. LOL
Stephanie, you are probably too young to remember Solid Gold!!!:P2

Back in the late 1980's my eldest sister drove a convertible Triumph Spitfire. It was pretty dilapidated even then. One night it got broken into outside a theatre in Edinburgh she was working at, by slashing through the roof. They took every single content, from pull out cassette player, cassettes, sunglasses, winter gloves, de-icing spray (??!!?) etc.

BUT!!! They left her cassette of The Monkees! It had been positioned upright in the centre of the dashboard with "tut tut" written across the plastic in lipstick!

I guess those burglers were a bit more rock n roll!

Stracci, from what I understand Rich Dart is fairly new on the scene so fans of the original Monkees might not be familiar. Very cool that you had a semi famous friend!

Solid Gold.....was it like Soul Train? I used to love Soul Train, I was born in 79 so I am familiar with the later 70's and 80's tv shows, music etc.

Omg Alex that is a great story, too funny!

OMG Stephanie, talk about a blast from the past. I was a little kid when they were famous. But I will never forget how crushed I was when Tiger Bear listed many, many popular girls names and each Monkee rated the name as whether they Love, Adore, Like or OK the names. I was crushed that my favorite monkey thought my name was okay LOL! The stuff you remember as a kid is hysterical.

Oh, me! Me! I even joined the Monkees Fan Club!

I'll admit to being a "Daydream Believer".....
Besides the fact that I share a name with the lead singer ( which meant a lot to a 10 year old) they had the coolest car!!!

Oh, me! Me! I even joined the Monkees Fan Club!

You were so excited you responded twice! :lol-2:

So you have to share your favorite song now.

Mike Nesmith's mother invented Liquid Paper, according to Wikipedia.

Love Daydream Believer! I admit I have it on my iTunes.

This is a great story, ah the good old innocent days of childhood!

Do you have a favorite song? I mean you must have had a favorite since you had a favorite member :P2

Mickey was my favourite. I had a pic of him on my wall when I was 4. My sister who was 9 liked Davy I think. It was from her magazine.

Daydream Be!iever, Pleasant Valley Sunday, Last Train to Clarksville :clap::appl:

I wish I still had my club membership card, signed poster, and lunchbox/thermos!!!

I do have my Batman (tv show, puh-lease) charm bracelet!!!

I also loved The Green Hornet! Who's with me for The Green Hornet????

Oh man I thought Green Hornet was a super hero from DC or Marvel. Had to look it up on Wikipedia
