I really loved Breaking Bad- and BCS is better in some ways.
The music...OMG, it's amazing....
It was ( is) stuck in my head- so I did my own version of the outro.
I did this on an iPad using Garage Band.
I'm playing the guitars and bass- and I used the GB drummer, who is really good if you know how to use him:)
Anyway, here it is
 
I finally watched Breaking Bad (all 5 seasons) last month because I had 6 week recovery with lots of restrictions. All of my millennial boys were nagging me.
Not sure I can commit to 5 seasons of Better Call Saul, although my oldest said it was a grown-up version of BB. And I thoroughly enjoyed Mike's character on BB.
I may give it a try and see how I like it.

TBH--I am an Ozark girl. And I know that Ozark is considered the lesser version of BB. But I will watch Jason Bateman all day long over Bryan Cranston in his undies.

As I explained to my millennial sons--Ozark is for girls and BB is for boys.
I appreciate the writing, acting and cinematography, but I found it a bit of a sausage fest.
 
MIKE!!! My favorite charachter
If you're a Mike fan, Better Call Saul is a must see....I don;t want to say too much but you really get his back story.
 
We LOVE Better Call Saul around here! Bob Odenkirk is just outstanding, you love him, but then sometimes not so much....and Michael McKean is richly brilliant and so nuanced.

I have a thing about super popular shows....if there's too much hype, I won't watch them. So we caught Breaking Bad several years after it was over and binge watched all the seasons and LOVED that too, LOL. My favorite series of all time is Dexter, and of course, I watched it after it was over. We love Ozark, Queen of the South, Narcos Mexico, Mr. Mercedes, and Happy Valley (the Brit version!!!). So many great things to watch. :dance:
 
Love Better Call Saul! And I loved Breaking Bad. But I have not watched the current season yet so I am afraid to check this thread again because I don't want spoilers for the current season. Such great acting.


Yes to Michael McKean! Don't laugh, but I associated him with Lavern and Shirley from the 1970s. When my brother and I were kids we would watch Happy Days followed by Laverne and Shirley with out father.
 
I loved BB! We watch Ozark and BCS too. BCS is excellent. I love how both have female characters who break bad with the best of them. And of course, the prelude to all of these - The Sopranos is a classic imo. But my all time favorite is definitely The Americans. I think I went into depression when it ended, lol!

I've never watched an episode of either--but my DH & DS devoured every last moment of both.

Thank you @Rockdiamond and others for recommending this. I thought I had watched a few episodes but no I hadn’t. Watching it now (well, last night) and we are loving it. Only one episode in but I think it’s going to be a very enjoyable series for us. Thanks again!

Love all the above mentioned series. Excellent tv viewing.
 
We tried one episode and I am not sure why we discontinued. Maybe because it was right after completing Breaking Bad and we were expecting something else. I’ll give it another go.

Okay---I am hooked on Bette Call Saul. I've watched all of Season 1 and I like it much more than BB.
Looking forward to the next 4 seasons.
I didn't like Saul so much in BB, but I am enjoying the character in Better Call Saul.
Thanks for nudging me to give it a try! And Mike is still the character that I enjoy the most.
 
I just finished binging season 5. There’s this hollow feeling when, instead of the little tab on the bottom that says “next episode” it starts making suggestions of shows you might love.
Arghhhhhh!!!!! I don’t want another show I want season 6!!!!!!!!
