I can''t find an example on how to reference a printed brochure...anyone know?

I believe they should be treated as a standard periodical.

Actually I''m totally wrong. Here you go....

Ack! I love you HH! Also what the heck is an "informational Analyses"? That is what it is listed under publication type.

I have no idea, but it doesn''t sound like a fun document to read!

Good luck!

hmmmm...not sure that is right. The page is from 2007 and they just had changes. Wish I could find it in the book.

They just changed the APA style, although if you buy a book be careful because they''ve had to reprint the new edition due to an enormous amount of errors. Perdue Owl is a good resource.

Google "APA [edition number] citing a brochure"

I believe it is the same way you reference a book, except you add [Brochure] in brackets at the end. Let me google and find some references for you.

APA PAMPHLET

Author. (Date of publication). Brochure title. [Brochure]. Place of publication:Publisher*.

Graphics programmer (2000) (Brief 536) [Brochure]. Moravia, NY: Chronicle Guidance Publications.

American Society of Safety Engineers. (1996). Careers in safety [Brochure]. Des Plaines, IL: Author.

Note: Author used at end of entry because American Society of Safety Engineers is also the publisher.

* or author, depending on the publication.

Thanks, I do have the second printing of the 6th edition.

The information analyses, read like a paper but with two authors (one phd) and lists the university. There is no journal. I would cite it like thesis but there are two authors. Why is this so confusing?!? I hate APA.

Just list both authors then.

This is what I have:

Author one & Author two. (date) Title of paper.

seems like it is missing something.

No information on the publisher? Or maybe the institution/corporation/agency?

There is a university...that''s it.

Other than the year, there really isn''t much else to say. In AAA format, which is what I use, you actually put unpublished thesis in parentheses at the end, but otherwise it is the name, author, date and university.

That should be more than enough then :)

University name. (date). Title. [Brochure] Authors names.

Thanks everyone for your help! I love that everytime I have a question and post it on PS I get answers back with in seconds! That source is actually the Informational Analyses. Do you think that is like a manuscript? I don''t see a publisher or anything. I retrieved it from an online database. This should NOT be this difficult. Haha.

Author one & Author 2 (year). Title of the paper. Unpublished manuscript, Seton Hall University, South Orange, New Jersey.

The paper was written in 1997 so I am assuming they didn''t submit it to publication.
