Hello everyone I''ve been reading the forum for a bit but this is my first time posting. I''ll be the first to admit I''m a novice when it comes to picking out a diamond especially an asscher cut diamond. Any advice on this particular diamond or just want makes a good asscher in general would be greatly appreciated.

Here is the info about the diamond sorry forgot to add it to the last post

1.02 ct
E
VVS2
Polish Excellent
Symmetry Excellent
Measurements 5.43*5.34*3.82

Whats the table and depth?
looks a bit dark in the center to me, can you get an IS or ASET image?

The table is 65 and the depth is 71.5

borderline table and a bit deep for that table.
Id expect a discount so it should be in the lower end price wise.
Whats the crown height and can you get an IS or ASET image?
Who is the grading report by?

I don''t have the IS or ASET report. The grading was done by AIG. Do you have any examples of what a good asscher should look like. All I know is that she likes the asscher cut but have no idea what a quality asscher looks like. The price on the stone above was about 6700.00 is that too much for that particular stone.

I have never heard of AIG stick with GIA/AGS for asschers.

If I just have that picture to go by my opinion is that the p3 angles are not optimal, and its to deep for that table size which is costing you spread.
Given the depth and the AIG report both of which should get a discount the price is high by about a grand if the grading is close to being right much more so if the grading is soft.

I meant GIA not AIG sorry about that. Thanks for you help I''ll keep looking
