This isn't a desperate "I want it right now" kind of thing, but I have always been on the lookout for a snake pendant. I feel like I have looked at every Victorian snake on the internet and anything I like is just overpriced, so I thought I would put feelers out on PS. I want a pendant or a stick pin or smaller brooch that could be converted into one. I really like the ones I am posting in the pics, but most of these are $400-700 and for a really small stick pin (snake being about 1/2 inch) it's hard to justify that price (plus tax and some are outside of US so if I need to return it's complicated). Anyway just seeing if anyone has a serpent slithering around in their jewelry box that needs a neck to coil up on! Here are ones I love but don't work for various reasons:

Pricey and overseas purchase but I love the shape of the snake. Seriously a love knot stick pin I can find for $60-200 but if it's a snake, the minimum is $400

I also love the circular pattern of this snake, but they want over $700 with shipping and that's pre-tax. It's less than half an inch

I really love this one, but it's actually too big on the neck imho:

Anyway perhaps I'm being too cheap :lol-2:  but thought I would just throw some feelers out there.

So I know this isn’t what you asked for price wise but it’s bigger and more detailed than most of what I see. I came across it and had to share. It has a bit of a gold purity identity crisis but the design is awesome. RealReal stuff often goes on sale maybe watch it for a while?

edit: just noticed it qualifies for 20% off if that helps

Thanks! I wouldn’t mind paying a higher price like this if it has heft and higher purity. This one doesn’t speak to me but I think that price is fair. The ones I posted were expensive and teeny, with the exception of the one that is too large. But I’ll have a look at TRR; I tend to forget to look there.

@Mreader This one is circular for a few hundred less than the one you posted but still not super cheap:

If you’re converting anyway, how about this and you could sell the second or give it to a family member?

And a few others:

I have seen all of those pins and my favorite is the Ruby Lane one but I still find it pricey when you figure in tax. It’s really small also the magnification kind of tricks me but when I do the measurement I see how small it will be. I do like the ones also from overseas but I hesitate on an overseas purchase.

But OMG the earrings idea is GENIUS!! I didn’t even think of that idea!! And that one is also overseas but again it’s such a clever idea and would be an easier conversion as well.

Eta - maisonmohs is the fave oops. I like the curled zig zag look.

Update I got the MaisonMohs one - but now @ac117 I’m interested in the earrings as earrings lol. Classic me - interested in a snake so buy five of them…

Well at least you’d get both pieces for the price of one of the expensive options!! :lol-2: You have my support lol

There is one that is about to be listed on https://www.instagram.com/p/CYbc9_DrNye... looks absolutely divine to me! I messaged her to ask the price. It'll be on her Etsy tomorrow.271405978_966973947585453_3850094176369358453_n.jpg

That is beautiful I love her shop also. She is saved in my favorites.

eta I feel like I’ve seen that snake before because I remember that pink gemstone but I just cannot place it.

She replied that price is $1,300-1,400 + shipping depending on payment method. Out of my budget atm, but a gorgeous piece!

I figured it would be on the high side given how pretty it is. Did she say what the stone was?

I didn’t think to ask!

I have one that I've been thinking of letting go. I purchased it as a stick pin and was going to convert it into a pendant, but couldn't decide where to have the ring soldered on, and I thought about maybe having a stone bezel set to hang underneath.

The snake is 14kt yellow gold and there's a small mine cut diamond set into it's head. I believe the diamond is about a 0.05ct, but I'm not sure since I purchased it so long ago. It measures about 2-2.5mm in size. The snake itself measures just over 20mm in length, and about 7mm in width.

Sorry for the crappy photos! It's been raining non-stop today and I took these indoors. If you're interested, feel free to DM me on my LT listing here: https://loupetroop.com/listings/nec...8kt-yellow-gold-3mm-curb-chain-necklace-21-22

I did end up already buying one and am waiting for it to arrive. Thank you though and I am still going to DM you to ask about it in case I don't like the one I ordered. I sent it.
