Any recommendations on good places to find nice antique jewelry? I'd be interested to see some oecs and mine cuts in person.

I looked at a few OECs at Vincent's in Creve Coeur. They had a 1.88ct P color(EGL) OEC for around $4400. It was absolutely gorgeous! I also know they recently sent some antique cushions in the 2-3ct range to be graded.

Scotsman Coin and jewelry also has some lovely old cuts. They're just down the road from Vincent's on Olive.

Timekeepers, Elleard Heffern, You can check Selkirk auctions...

I personally will NEVER recommend Vincents. Horrible experiences with them.

Now you've got me curious, Ame. Why not Vincent's? For settings or diamonds or both? From what I've seen, I like their diamond selection, but have never considered getting a setting from them. I ask because I recently had them send a diamond to GIA to be certified for me with the intention of purchasing it if it meets our agreed upon criteria.

Nevermind! Found your review on Yelp. Sounds awful! So far things have gone smoothly for me, but we'll see  Just going to take all the necessary precautions that come with diamond buying.

Buying the stone was fine. NO complaints there. Our issues were setting/workmanship/customer service area.

Timekeepers in Clayton. The owner is a good friend of mine and I have a rule, not do business with friends or peolple I really like. However, they have really nice selecion of antique cuts and Eddie (the owner) does a lot of setting repairs for a very reasonable price. The also do custom settings, but I have never tried it. I stopped by today to talk to him about resetting my stone and got to try on a to die for 5.7 carat round (already sold) and a 2.3 yellow OMC (just came today from EGL).
I highly recommend them. You can mention that you know Inna :).
