I''m confused...Are you bored with your new ring already?

I would not buy an I2 clarity diamond without seeing it with my own eyes.

I agree with you Pyramid. But also, MB, you saw a J or was it a K and you said it was too yellow for you so why would you look at this one if it''s an L and such a bad clarity?

But more than that, I was thinking that you just got your "dream ring" stone and to me, it''s a bit like not getting a new pet immediately after your old pet passes away, out of respect. You just got your new ring last week right? Why not enjoy your new ering for a while before looking for another ring? ...Plus, your husband might start to think you dont really like your new ering all that much, and that would be a shame. Just a thought to marinate...

I think it''s gorgeous! Love the crown, love the culet, love the rubies.... I think that old cut stones look amazing (and properly antique) in the richer, warmer hues below J.

If I recall correctly, clarity grading can be influenced by exterior nicks.... and this is an old stone... how much of the grading is based on internal flaws vs external flaws?

Hi, I don''t know about the I2, but I think the design is gorgeous!

Good question!

It is beautiful!!!!!! I would be concerned about the I2 grading also, and if you can arrange to see it in person that would be best.

ETA: I am assuming this is to be a RHR?

hi girls..
didn''t mean to confuse you SurfGirl.
I was looking at it and really liked the setting of it and all. kinda curious what everyone else thought.
just keeping ideas open for my RHR!
i definitelly love my Ering and am not going to get another ring just yet.
but FI knows that i''m in the market for a RHR and it''s going to be an antique peice.
thanks for checking it out! :)

That''s a really lovely ring-
I think that the ruby halo will definitely help make that stone appear whiter- it''s a beautiful setting!

oh its a k color? I was just looking at it thinking, yeah that''s about the same color as my diamond... and mine is a low J. I can appreciate high colors for irbs but for the antique stones I really appreciate the lower colors because it accentuates the antique quality to me.

beautiful!!! Hope you find a lovely RHR
