So, I saw this Antique Cushion and now I am hopelessly in love

. Do you all think this wouls make for a stunning engagement ring stone, or is the color L/M too "full" and not very engagement ring like? My man has asked me to start "hunting" around for examples of what I would aspire to have as a stone and these antique cushions (and old mine cuts) just take my breath away. I was thinking maybe a Leon solitare or skinny pave setting? Would the L/M color look funny against whiter diamonds in a pave band?

Too many questions? ha ha. So so sorry, just looking for some insight and advice. Thanks a billion!! You all rock!

This stone is full of fire and sparkle! Small table, large culet and a nice, roundish pillow shape! The diamond faces quite white, with beautiful peachy undertones.

Sorry, I forgot to attach the picture. Isn''t she beautiful??

Fantastic! and i know how hard it can be to find a good cushion...i''ve been looking for months...

I would wear that baby in a heartbeat, to me that type of colour grade adds to the charm and beauty of these diamonds! I would think you could see a difference between whiter diamonds in a band, but it could still look fine in my opinion - it wouldn't worry me, but it depends on how you feel. I would probably set her in a plain solitaire setting in a basket with claw prongs...

I almost bought that. It''s a beautiful stone. Another client of theirs recently purchased a cushion and had it set by Leon.

That is one gorgeous stone!!!!!!!

Well then I guess we have the same perfect taste! Have you seen it in person??

I would die for a low setting in plat with double claws.

I can see it now.....

What a great diamond and excellent price.
I already found the ering (k color) that I plan to give my girl.
But I can''t stop looking. I''m obsessed.

I think there will be more diamonds in our future.

Ohhh she''s purrrrdy.

I think that''s a gorgeous stone: I love the warmer stones, period, full stop, but especially in antique cuts. And that really is a fantastic antique cut! A Leon solitaire, a la BostonJeff, would be fantastic ... and if you decided to go for a pave ring, if you went custom, you could always specify that you wanted warmer melee. My J is set with G/H baguettes, and I don''t detect any difference in color, though there''s a bit of visible difference between my center stone and the small rounds in my eternity band. But, since I love the warmth, it''s not much of a draw-back for me ....

That would make a beautiful e-ring. It would look great in one of those gorgeous Single Stone settings!

I think large, chunky faceted cushions with small tables look scrumptious with a noticable body color! Not sure about surrounding it with white diamonds, I can''t picture that in my mind. I do see it set in a octagon or square halo of ruby or sapphire baguettes (with a step cut white diamond of the right shape to fill in the corners. Possibly with white baguette diamonds down the slender shank, or simply a plain shank.

After another look at that amazing amazing stone, I have another picture in my head. (I forgot to say in the previous post that the halo would have the center stone in a bezel).

Ok, new picture -- hold that baby with a double claw at each of the four corners, with the prongs sweeping under the solitaire in graceful curves. The table of course rises above the prongs as if there is too much diamond to fill them, but it is actually set as low as possible to finger. The band is dainty (no cathedral!) with one-pointer super-white RBs set by fishtail.

She''s a winner. And that''s exactly the color she should be. Lovely.

Loving it.

Wow! I love that full pillow look! I personally don''t think that an l-m color stone looks bad, but some people don''t really like color in the stone. But, it looks lovely to me. If you like it, then go for it!!!

Go for it!!! I would LOVE a stone like that and wouldn''t want a super white antique cut anyway. The color adds to the beauty, I think. That is an incredible price for such a stone too!

I found it ! Snooper''s 2.75 from EricaGrace in a Leon setting Thread HERE

Wow! Gorgeous stone and I love the color. I can''t wait to see it mounted. YOu must be so excited.
