Antique Chinese Cloisonne Bracelet help

I wanted to post it somewhere it would get traffic.

A friend of mine received this from her MIL. She knows it's old and Chinese. And when she went to wear it another friend of hers told her it was too valuable to wear.

It's silver construction underneath the cloisonne. I don't know what metals are overlaid on it (if any) but I was hoping for general advice.

I plan to give her the name of Lang's appraiser to have it checked out formally. But any thoughts/experiences/observations you all may have would be helpful.

Wish I could help, Gypsy -- it is really lovely. What about sending pics of it, including of any marks, to Christies or Sotheby's? Or to a good museum -- if there's one near your friend, great, but if not, maybe the Metropolitan in NY or the museum in Kansas City; they have a wonderful Chinese collection. If she gets info, please update -- I'd love to know about it.
