To distract myself from the ever-long process of recutting my steep/deep engagement ring, I''ve been dreaming of my next diamond purchase, which will be some small WF studs. My fiance said he had thought about getting them for my birthday in July, but had no idea what I wanted. I directed him straight to whiteflash''s website and today he said he was going to get them for me for Christmas. YAY for me!!! I wanted the ready-set-to-go ones in .5 cttw-- having very low piercing holes on my ears, I will never want large ones. Originally I had planned on going with round, just because my ring is round, but then I started leaning towards the princess ones. EVENTUALLY I''d love to have a pair of each, but I must be realistic here and pick one. I''ve grown to love diamonds so much I''d like to collect them in many different shapes, sizes, and color grades, but of course that would be over a looooong period of time. I don''t like princesses so much in rings---- have seen some GORGEOUS ones on ps, just not for me---- but I think the earrings can look really cool. It doesn''t hurt that they are $200 cheaper either, although I realize they face up smaller. I don''t care if they are smaller, but I do want them to sparkle. I''ve read a lot that PC''s can look really dull in small sizes, but WF''s expert selection stones should be sparkly right? If they don''t sparkle I''d rather just spend the $200 and go with round, but I also still think it would be fun to collect more shapes.

Sorry to be rambling on, but I was wondering if I could get some of your opinions? I''m going out of my mind waiting for my e-ring to get done and thinking about other fun purchases really helps! Thanks for ANY opinions!!!

Kelli, I'm sure their Princess would be sparkly, but not as sparkly as a round. It would probably be best to ask your SA about them, they can give you the best comparison. If it were me, I'd get the rounds first, and then get the Princess later. I do understand about wanting one in every shape!

ditto Ellen, the rounds will be more sparkly and they are a great classic staple to own first.

I don''t like how princess cut studs look...

My original e-ring is a .25ct princess cut. It really sparkles, especially in store lighting. I think the sparkle depends on how well they are cut. Obviously its small, but to me it still performs!

I agree with the others though, for your first pair of studs I would go with rounds. I wish I had some!

Ok you guys are definitely capable of changing my mind! Keep the opinions coming though!

I love the sparkle of rounds!
