Please excuse the sloppy Photoshop, but I'm just trying to get an idea of whether I should go with the rose detail or not.

I've been sitting here with the Photoshop file open clicking... rose detail, no rose detail, rose detail, no rose detail

So, I've decided to stick with my bezel halo. Last decision... rose fleur de lis or no?

ETA: Keep in mind, rose gold is very subtle... blends pretty much with my skintone. I like having things a little different but this isn't so obvious I would tire of it or it would clash. Also, if you recall, I want two very thin stacking bands with it... a white and a pink (the pink I would sometimes change out for yellow... but I think pink and yellow gold look nice together).

Yes?

UGH! The poll didn''t work.

Sooooooooo..... ROSE or PLAT?

gorgeous ring...I like the rose

No to the rose gold. It doesn''t add much and sort of distracts my eye.

I like both bc I like that piece of the detail. I think the pink gives it a lil something extra though, without being over the top.

I don''t like the rose, it looks more clean and cohesive without it.

Another no to the rose gold. I love rose gold but I''m not crazy about that. I can''t wait to see your finished ring!

I meant to add that I still think the rose gold stacking ring will look good even if you don''t have the rose gold detail in the ring.

Beautiful setting! I''m another no-go on the rose gold.

I surprised myself. Normally I''m not a big two tone fan but I really like the little detail the rose gold would give the ring. It''s not too much but just enough. I''d vote for the rose gold. If you do choose to go with it though, one thing to think about is whether or not you''d grow tired of the rose color after a while.

I don''t think you could go wrong either way though -- both are beautiful.

I'm in the no rose gold camp as well. To me, rose gold makes sense when there are pink diamonds in the setting, but since they'll all be white, I say let the platinum do its thang all by itself.

I am going to say no to the rose gold. Platinum keeps the design "flowing".

I think the rose gold looks fantastic and will give your ring that little something extra that is all you! Go for it!

Rose gold band = yes. Rose gold doo-hickey = no. Honestly, I think it *would* bug you down the road. No matter how subtle you think it is now. Just look at the TEENSY TINY details that drive people CRAZY about their jewelry around here. If you ever fell out of love with rose gold -- or, gasp, rose gold became "tacky" ... eh, why take the chance? Why gild the lily? JMHO.

ETA: it's an upkeep issue too ... I think you're not supposed to go in chlorinated water with gold ... where platinum is fine. not sure, but its what I remember.

another no-go for the rose. your ring is gorgeous btw, can''t wait til it arrives!

quadritto... but the stacking band would be delish.

I''d stick with the platinum one. The rose gold is pretty, but that RG seems a bit "trendy" to me and something that I personally would get tired of. If you want some rose gold, get yourself a PG RHR!

Another vote for all platinum.

I don''t really like the rose gold detail. Gorgeous setting.

I am going to email her and tell her all platinum.

I love the rose, but if I''m not sure, then I shouldn''t do it.

I tried on a Simon G ring that have a very small touch of rose gold in the gallery and loved it. It was not obvious at all. Maytal said you would barely be able to notice it... but still... I think I would be fine with it either way but I''m going to stick with my gut (and most of ya''ll) and go with all platinum.

I know I like the look of all platinum... and that does create a flow from the side diamonds through the fleur de lis to the other side diamonds. I''ll have my pink (and yellow and blue and green and red and and and...) in stacking rings.

Thanks again for the reassurance.

Good choice
